  • One of the coolest parts of this movie to me is the initial view of the train as the smoke rolls off of it. Beautifully done, well placed, and overwhelmingly effective.

That whistle though. Never gets old! Hands down one of my favourite Christmas movies of all time, not a competition.

This is one of the most memorable Christmas moves I've watched in my childhood....😢❤
  • I don't care if than animation is a little off or the story is a little spooky, this is one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time. The sound of that whistle and Tom Hank's glorious voice should be more than enough to make you want to watch this beautiful movie every Christmas.
  • The doubt the boy feels and the “ end of the magic,” has a different feeling now that I am an adult, when your more focused on work, taxes, responsibilities, etc, not so much on childhood wonder. I think that feeling makes this not only the best Christmas movie but one of the most interesting and well written plots of all time. Even when you look at the book, The artwork doesn’t have any flashing lights or bright colors that a kid would find out of this world and amazing, they’re simple and dull, but still very beautiful, but only in the minds of an adult. This works cause both the book and the movie are an adult remembering his childhood.

Hey grandma. It's been four years since you passed but ill make sure I watch this movie every Christmas. Love and miss you so much ❤
  • This movie came out when I was in first grade; we had a class trip to see it in theaters. We were already familiar with the book, so you can imagine our hype of seeing it come to life on the big screen. Good times.

Everything 10/10. Attention to detail, The scores, graphic design, story EVERYTHING
  • since I was in elementary this was actually my favorite Christmas animated movie. every year of the month of december i always watch this movie and it never gets old and it makes me feel like I was traveling back to that year whenever I watch this. Christmas back then was so different from now maybe because I’m old now but hey I still believed in Santa Claus 😅 and oh by the way I’m 25 years old now and still I loved this movie ❤️🎄🎅🏻
  • My all time favourite Christmas movie and I also watch this every Christmas Eve
  • The steam engine always brings me tears. For me the steam engine is a relic of a great era, people were more nice and respectful to each other. When I see a steam locomotive is like if I was watching one of my older folks.

Need to see this in imax. My absolute favorite Christmas movie. Watch every year. Can’t wait for the 4K release next year
