Natsumi suffers from severe emotional damage.

Special thanks to ‪@AidouprinCess‬ for not only inspiring me to watch this anime and make this video, but also for changing my life over the past year or so, by being the best idol in the whole wide world.

I literally had to take the day off of work after watching this because I could not handle my emotional state.
  • I swear the first 6 episodes was just a fun time and then the main plot just hit like a truck
  • AYO HE COOKED! I like how you mentioned the 'journey not the destination' when it comes to Kaori's death, because that was what I realised upon my friend spoiling that plotpoint for me when I was only 9 episodes in. I realised that the show had already telegraphed it with the scene of Kaori with those pills in the bathroom, and the rest of the show becomes about accepting it. In a way that allowed me to see the show in a different light as I watched the second half (though a part of me still wishes I never got the plot spoiled for me). As for the last part of the video, I hope you're doing well, and remember that no matter how dark things are, Spring will always come

It's screwed up it is 10 years since it was released still one of my favorite anime series also what they play on piano in the animation is actually what they really play which is not usually a case for a lot of animated instrument things.
  • Damn, just found another channel whose opinion on things I'm interested in. You did a damn well good job mate.

Do you watch subtitled or dubbed versions of anime (or both)? I'm curious about something.

First do not open a video stating the end result of the LAST episode before you get into a spoiler warning or review. To be honest you could have reviewed the story without revealing this and other facts. The fact she dies is not made immediately obvious intentionally, it is supposed to be in the LAST EPISODE FOR A REASON, as is the relationship between both male and female lead. This is the worst type of review behavior and to be honest, I can tell you loved the series, but without understanding the basics of review and what to hold back you taint the audience and give them MORE reason to never pick up this amazing work. I know that it is hard but enunciation is key for Japanese names. Do yourself a favor and watch at least a few episodes in Japanese so you can say their names correctly. English dubs do not and will not take the time to learn the names. IF you use the English pronunciation it often shows a lack of interest and respect for the original work. I know that all the anime die-hard fans will bring this up, but the performance in English is the worst. They do not display the full range of emotions, and the tone of Arima is completely wrong, that is the fault of the voice actors not understanding, watching, or respecting the characters they personify. Some VA go as far as to alter a character's voice lines and intent, to earn some fictional brownie points in their head since they receive so much criticism. And it has gotten bad enough that I would rather people not watch English dubs and never watch anime than support the dub industry as it is today. At best the performance is a cliff notes level of an elementary school play. That all is to say, If you liked the EN version the JP is next level if you know any amount of Japanese and or its culture. JP anime version 10/10 EN 3/10
