After both of Peci's roles in Goodfellas and Casino it was definitly refreshing to see him as a low key character in the next mob movie.

I was watching Goodfellas with my parents and when we got to the bar scene and Micheal showed up on the screen I paused the movie and said "See that guy? He's a YouTuber now."

The real Tommy was a huge dude...like 6'2" 225lbs...Pesci may have been small in size but he gave a giant performance on screen. Best mob movie imo.

I used to watch goodfellas with my uncle growing up when everyone would be asleep late at night... he passed from cancer in 2008 rest on peace uncle aaron

Also, Joe Pesci was in his 40's years old when Goodfellas was made, while the character he played was 26 years old at the time. Still, Pesci was great in that role.

Goodfellas is not just a mafia movie masterpiece. Its a masterpiece in cinematography, acting, directing and storytelling.

As a delivery driver, I had that same feeling when I saw Jason Statham portray me in The Transporter. I was like, “Dang, they put me in a movie?” But I wasn’t mad. Just a little surprised. Pretty accurate, actually. The only things they took creative liberties with were my hair, accent, physique, car, age, and skin color. Other than that, pretty much a straight-up biography.

Growing up in Brooklyn in the early to mid 90s. I had a Italian girlfriend who lived in Bensonhurst. I remember the Colombo war very vividly… it’s good to see that you made it out. God Bless Mikey 🙏🏼
