This week only, with every purchase about $35, you'll get a Free Seeker necklace
The World Islands. A collection of 300 man-made islands built off the coast of Dubai to resemble an outline of the EARTH FROM THE SKY… Yet, after $13 billion was spent to complete them they’ve mostly been sitting there empty... I couldn’t believe this place actually existed.
So as a first stop on my trip I flew to Dubai to understand what happened and what their future holds… What are your thoughts? Amazing or too crazy of an idea?
Thank you to @MyDubai and @VisitDubai for helping us get in touch with the creators of these islands and for letting us go out to see the restricted areas.

Hey there, thank you for watching :) I've really missed making videos consistently so I'm very happy to be back. I'm sure this year has had so many ups and downs for all of you as well so I hope to share some positivity through these stories I've captured. This is the first one out of my trip and I've got plenty more coming your way. Let me know what you think in the comments and I'll see you again soon

Island hopping just got a lot better 🏝
-
That chef totally googled "what do americans eat"
-
One would think someone so concerned with the environment would know the impact a project like this has on it
-
You were just exposed by Geopold lmao
-
The chairman seems like a really down to earth, smart, thoughtful guy.
-
"this looks totally livable there is a pool" - Thomas accidentally reveals he's a reptile in disguise
-
New challenge for you guys: Go live for 72 hours with the labourers who've been building those islands next and tell us what you think.
-
I have so many questions though. Ecological and economic concerns. Did the construction of the islands drive away marine life? Where did the brought-in sand come from and what methods did they use to make sure that the original place of the sand didn’t suffer any ecological disaster? Have they lost any money due to the slow buying process of the islands? etc. etc.
-
When YouTube comments on the video you know its good
-
free marketing for the islands through Yes Theory is probably the smartest thing they have done
-
The chairman talking about how sustainable and eco-friendly their system is on an artificial island built on the destruction of a marine ecosystem.
-
The building of these islands has a big impact on marine life. The sand is taken from ocean floor, wich gets destroyed in the process, losing countless coral reefs and marine flora. All for what? Its not only unnecesary but really harmful for the environment In my opinion there should be more critical thinking on this kind of stuff (especially if you talk about being mindfull about the environment).

Guys can we just appreciate Thomas' voice. SO soothing.
-
The dude dressed in the traditional uae clothing had perfect American English.
-
This whole area was a coral reef teeming with life. They destroyed it all to make deserted islands, that don't even look like what they're supposed to
-
they were probably like "oh he's american just give him pizza and hamburgers" LMAO
-
The Dubai skyline at the end of your pool is so neat
-
This is the worlds most expensive flooded sandbox.
-
Oh Thomas the life you live, you’re so fearless, adventurous and open minded,a truly remarkable trait
