I was excited about The Division when they announced it because it looked like the closest thing to Escape From New York in a videogame form. They should've gone all in and populated the city with crazy gangs of cannibals and crackheads, used destroyed landmarks as notable locations and made the story a morally gray mission by a corrupt government. You could side with some gangs to guarantee safety in certain locations, but you'd always be vulnerable and low on resources, making scavenging, stealth, dirty jobs and even stealing from other players a necessity. Basically a mix of STALKER, MGS and DayZ, all set in a postapocalyptic New York. Add some sweet-ass 80's synth soundtrack and you've got one hell of a game.

“You can’t interact with the massive open world!” umm, try again honey, car doors
-
Jakey, you better become a game designer and save the industry.
-
I love how instead of just saying “this game is bad, devs make it better please”, you actually give thought out ideas to change the game and create something doable, unique (in games), and objectively cool. Love your videos. That’s all
-
I love the idea of Jakey calling his local gamestop and just saying "hey it's me" and they immediately know who it is
-
Dear future me, you came here for 3:03
-
Hey, it's the future. That shit didn't happen.
-
3:00 "badaboom, badabing Peter Pan, Steven King" lolwut? I never comment. I should. love your videos man. appreciate ya. keep it up
-
I always think the division is still in development and can't wait for it to release. Then I remember, ah shit
-
"I don't think Jake Gyllenhal has ever hurt anybody" You must not have seen Nightcrawler
-
0:37 that’s always been my thing about games that level enemies. Think about this... IF, everytime my character levels up, every single enemy in the game “levels up” (gets more life and increased damage, but otherwise stays the exact same)... what is really the point of leveling outside of gaining new skills? If you’re going to scale-level enemies with the player why not have the player and enemies stay at the same health from beginning to end of the game and just grant new skills upon leveling up? It’s like an arbitrary and unnecessary addition Devs make to reinforce the idea that you’re progressing, while also realizing that they didn’t put enough enemy varieties into the game to give you new, stronger ones to fight as you get stronger... And that’s the problem with that approach, you never feel as powerful as you should feel, because the game scales enemy levels and power to compensate for your power and HP.

Jakey is basically describing a perfect mashup of Dying Light and The Division.
-

So basically what you're saying is if The Division was nothing like The Division, it would be really good?
