Catch all the exhilarating highlights from the 2024 F1 Belgian Grand Prix in our latest video! Lewis Hamilton emerged victorious, showcasing his exceptional driving skills and strategic brilliance to secure a win that reaffirms his place as one of the best on the grid. However, his triumph was marred by online debates and controversy over team strategies. George Russell, despite executing a bold and effective one-stop strategy, faced a devastating disqualification that robbed him of a well-deserved win, leaving fans and Mercedes baffled.

Oscar Piastri put on an impressive display, proving his potential as a rising star in F1. Charles Leclerc secured a crucial podium for Ferrari, offering a glimmer of hope in what has been a challenging season for the team. His performance, though not enough to clinch a win, was a testament to his resilience and skill.

On the other hand, Checo Perez’s race was a rollercoaster, as he plummeted from a promising second place to a disappointing seventh, raising serious questions about his future with Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen whose outlook for Red Bull has become pessimistic. His struggle with the medium tires and strategic missteps highlight the unpredictable nature of the sport and the fine margins that define success and failure.

Lewis has come full circle. He won the 2008 Belgian GP and was disqualified for his pass on Kimi, now he's re-interited it again

Felt pretty sorry for George, makes the call, comes good, doesn't choke and everything looks pretty glorious. Must have been a pretty crippling gut punch.

If Lando doesn't figure out how to have a good first lap, he'll lose P2 in the WDC to Oscar by COTA
  • If Oscars jack man did hold his ground, was knocked out of the way and the backup jack man had to step in, Oscar’s pit would have been 8-10 seconds. That jack man saved his race. Hope Oscar gets him a great apology gift.

All the strategies proposed by pirelli involved two stops. Anyone claiming this was an attempt by mercedes at sabotaging lewis in favour of george is a lunatic. George was the one to propose the one stop strategy anyways, if lewis felt his tires were healthy enough to risk a one-stopper, he should have insisted on it.

DSQ aside, the fact that Mercedes was even fighting for a win on a weekend where they looked nowhere in the leadup to Sunday was a genuine surprise. They might be in for a good second half. Just don't lose more wins to technical breaches...

Oscar is like a rough diamond right now, has raw speed and some insane wheel to wheel racing talent. Needs a lot of polishing though. The last few races should be a wake up call for Norris as Oscar is closing in rapidly for that P2 spot in the championship.
  • a Note about Charles' top speed: this has nothing to do with set up, he was the only driver to never have DRS down the Kemmel straight while every other driver did at some point on low fuel in the race (he had DRS on HAM in some of the first few laps on the SF straight but because the Ferrari was very slow in La Source, he couldn't get DRS coming out of it). But still goes to show how strong his performance was that he was able to defend with no DRS with a slower car!!

Stroll moaning about the lack of topspeed.. while having the highest top speed.

It's such a shame how the last few races have gone for George. George has been a decent chunk better across this season than lewis, but the team mates point battle has swung from a 26 point advantage to a 34 point disadvantage in 3 races. All 3 factors being a mercedes issue / miscalculation.

Watching the entirety of the LawVs livestream yesterday made my day. You need to do more of them! I would genuinely watch those over the F1 post race show PS: thank you for staying in that toasty attic for an hour uninterrupted

In 1 day we get: Russel win and DSQ, Law livestream, 74.6K subscribers, Law Video and CARLOS TO WILLIAMS?!?!
  • It wasn't really tragic. .. it proved to me Piastri is on the hunt, and he's the driver with the highest upside coming into racing, and racing in Asia and the Americas, he's getting the most cheers here. 🎉
  • I'm really happy about the words you spent on Ocon's situations, the guy is ridiculously underrated and over-hated, like, the dude will never get any credit no matter how right he is and how well he performs. I personally like his ruthless and no nonsense attitude of just trying to assert himself as much as he can both on track and in a team, while remaining more than fair most of the time. He is tough as nails but contrarily to what many people says, has mostly great race-craft.

I’m bothered by the fact that George was not in contention for driver of the day. Guy made the right call, drove beautifully, and was holding the lead and actually won. But nope let’s give it to Hamilton instead who didn’t do anything outstanding.
  • As soon as Hamilton is doing bad you hear his fans saying "aaaah they're sabotaging him on purpose!", when this happened to George it's not sabotage, they blame him for sheeting. Blows my mind how the brains of these people work. People who think that George cheated don't know how F1 works.
