the most impressive thing about this movie isn't the characters or the plot development or anything of the sort, it's how in the world they managed to get that look on the dog's face after they find him.

"You think you're done with the past, well the past is not done with you." ONE OF THE LINES THAT HIT ME HARD! šŸ˜šŸ˜

As a person who was bullied tremendously both in elementary school and high school, I can entirely relate with Gordo. Though these events happened well over a decade ago, I can recall them as if they happened ten seconds ago. Bullying Isn't something to take lightly nor joke about. To bully a person at such a young age has tremendous adverse affects on their psychology, and I'm speaking purely from experience. To all those who've been bullied, I feel for you and I urge you to seek help if you need it. Seek out the treatment because the goodness and richness of life await you.

Looks pretty interesting. I'm so used to seeing Jason in comedies, but the clip of him distressed looked quite impressive

This movie taught me how an idea could be planted in your mind and change someone's life forever. The power of information. Omg šŸ˜

i hate when trailers spoil parts of the movie.. why introduce the fish if you are going to show me that they die?

It's crazy to re-watch the trailer after seeing the movie and finding out what happens. Very different outcome then it appears!

Gordo taking off his sling at the end of the film was a metaphor for him finally being free from the psychological control Simon had over him over all those years.

moral of the story is, what goes around comes around
  • @LandingNow
I love how the trailer isnt showing too much details, this movie has a jaw-dropping plot twist in the end, i would recommend watching it if you're thinking about it!

Never has been a story been this too compelling than this one. It's safe to say that THE GIFT now takes the place in my halls of my all time favorite psychological thriller. With the captivating performance of JASON BATEMAN and a CLEVERLY written story, this is truly one of the best films I have seen in years. It's haunting and fueled with powerful conclusion..THE GIFT is now my favorite PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER of all time..

"You think you're done with the past, but the past is not done with you" -Gordo Best quote ever

*SPOILER* I think "the gift" Gordo was trying to give Simon was the opportunity to redeem himself. He gave him one chance to ask for forgiveness and start over/move one with his life but Simon didn't care, he just continued to being a bully so Gordo SHOW him the hard way. He made him lose everything (job, family) in order for him to learn how to become a better person. At the end Simon is left with nothing more than regret. And by the way, the baby is Simon's.
