  • Fun fact: The actor portraying Judas is Luca Lionello. He was atheist and was converted during the making on this film
  • All Judas had to do was repent and humbly and sincerely apologize to Jesus and ask for heโ€™s forgiveness, instead of killing himself. So sad

Scene scared the absolute dog shit out of me as a kid smh

This scene is a manifestation of Judas' own despair. He could've sought repentance, like St. Peter did and become St. Judas, but his guilt consumed him. It is a tragedy that serves as a wake up call to Christians who wallow in despair and rejecting God's grace to reform themselves.

In theaters at 11 years old, this was the scene that caused me to literally cover my eyes for the rest of the movie ... never saw the full movie since, almost 20 years later.

This still gives me chills, the biting of his flesh represents the evil of cannibalism of the weak. Only the good die young and all the evil seems to live forever.
  • @Hardleewood
If this scares you imagine what hell is like

I watch this film on 2004, when I was 10 and it's stay with me forever. Every follower of Jesus Christ, children or adult, should watch this film in some point of their life.

I didnโ€™t realise the same actor, pretended to be the baby when Satan held the actor

I'm quite surprised as to how many in the comment section were scared to death by this scene as a child.
