The Shoemaker one is interesting, because it depicts a traditional shoemaker who physically has to construct the shoe by hand, versus the Rich guy with an assembly line who can just pop shoes off 10 at a time; it's basically quality verses quantity. A lot of small businesses face issues like this, because while they might have a better product it takes longer to put into stock, then a big corporation who can make a ton of products really cheap without necessarily having to worry about the quality of the item their selling.
