Walz heavily scolded local leaders in the wake of the Minneapolis riots (Mayor Frey, in particular), painting himself as the savior for calling in the Guard when it proved necessary. And to be fair, the Guard squashed the rioters in short order.

It is important who she chooses because the American people who have followed her record but want to vote for the Democrat ticket cant vote for her based on her record without violating their conscious. However if they like her VP pick they can use that for a reason to vote Democrat. The others will blindly vote for the candidate who is promoted by whatever news organization they follow.

What virtually everybody said when both Vance and Walz were named as running mates was: Who? What is true is that both Vance and Walz will be almost invisible during the campaign and completely invisible when either one of them become the VP. It's funny when either side overly attacks or praises the running mates when they basically don't matter at all.
