A new era continues with our first N Scale 4 axle locomotive. Introducing the all-new Rivet Counter EMD GP30 with all railroad, road number, and era-specific details you’ve come to expect from ScaleTrains. Our model renders numerous variations of cabs, dynamic brakes, doors, grilles, trucks, etc. We’ve also incorporated LED lighting effects including front and rear headlights and auxiliary lighting like Mars or Gyra Lights. Roadnames with ditch lights will be available in future runs. This initial run features classic roadnames with the addition of Southern Railway 2601, preserved at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer.

All Rivet Counter N Scale locomotives are available as DC/DCC ready with the E24 connector or with ESU LokSound 5™ Nano decoder and a cube-type speaker.

  • Great job Scale Trains this is awesome. I was a little disappointed with the N & W not being released at this time. But that’s alright because it will be released at a later date. I’ll survive. I will be preordering the Southern version. Thanks for making this model available to everyone in the N Scale community. Love the products that you as a company produced . Now I’m waiting on a first for Scale-Trains a steam engine in N Scale. Thanks. 😎😎 👍
