I remember thinking to myself a month ago or so how Haney has holes in his defense. He is not a bad fighter, but something is off and I can't always put my finger on it. He has all the tools, but he gets caught with punches he shouldn't get caught with.

Haney is very limited and one dimensional like I've said on this channel numerous of times. Always stepping with the jab and has bad defense.

Haney fought a horrible strategic fight. Garcia had more speed and power, he should have respected that. Should have been focused on slowing him down the first couple of rounds instead of getting an early finish. Didn't think he had a good enough camp to remain dangerous later in the fight and in reality he was scoring knockdowns. Yeah he'd do that long measure with his left hand, when whip a lightning fast left hook. He started throwing the straight after measuring to switch it up. Then started trying to catch you as you ducked with the straight and or the left hook. Not a super complex strategy and not a simple one. Enough to work for him and to keep top opponents on their toes.
