i think what alot of people always misunderstood about Mariah is, that she was never only an amazing vocalist ... she is an engineer of the vocal instrument ,meaning that her vocal runs were never randomly executed ...instead they were extremely precise and controlled in direction and intention ... plus all the different layers of vocals she later on displayed in her records show an incredible talent in organizing voices all around the lead voice
