Welcome to Japan Tag 2024 / Japan Day or 日本デー in Düsseldorf, Germany, where I have captured the beautiful moments of the breathtaking fireworks display (Hanabi or 花火) on June 1st 2024. The theme of this year's Japanese fireworks display is ‘Gold medals and golden rain over Düsseldorf: Olympic splendour from Tokyo to Paris’. Fireworks master Hideki Kubota from Japan once again set off a traditional Japanese fireworks masterpiece and delighted the audience with the spectacle for over 25 minutes. Japan Tag is an annual event celebrated, showcasing the country's rich cultural heritage and vibrant tradition such as traditional music and dance programs, karaoke and cosplay contests, manga stands, origami & calligraphy lessons, kimono fittings. Each year, the event takes place along the Rhine Embankment Promenade (Rheinuferpromenade) in Düsseldorf for the whole day, offering a perfect backdrop for the spectacular fireworks. Japan Tag 2024 had around 630,000 visitors this year. Filmed in stunning 4K HDR at 60fps, the footage beautifully captures every detail and vibrant colour of each firework as they light up the cityscape. From cascading showers of sparks to breathtaking aerial formations, this video puts you in the front row of this unforgettable event. Every moment of this grand finale is a visual delight.

    花火制作と打ち上げは 石川県の「北陸火工」が行っています。 従業員数19人の小さな会社だけどデュッセルドルフで毎年数十万人の人々に感動を与えてます。

    ドイツの日本デーなんて懐かしいですね。かつては毎年開催していて盛り上がっていたコロナで廃止になってしまいました。
