Hi, I’m Patrick. I’m a freelance science writer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a master’s in clinical exercise physiology. I used to work in the clinical setting as a certified athletic trainer, physical therapy aide, and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. After working in the clinical setting, I went back to school and became a teacher. The goal of my content is to help normal people, not just pre-med students, learn about the human body. That might mean explaining a topic from an anatomy class or exploring a topic from medical history.

Hello sir, u may not see this comment at all but I would like to thank u from the bottom of my heart. My family was grown really poor and my dad was trying so hard to get a lot of money. My dad applied to medical school and I showed my dad ur channel to him. Because of you and ur simple and understandable anatomy videos, my dad has successfully made it to a doctor. Thank you so much for ur help and I really hope u realise how helpful ur videos can be. ❤

Forgive me, I know at 8:32 I gave the impression that I was going to show longitudinal section slides of valves, but I couldn't find any public domain or Creative Commons licensable photos. But something's better than nothing!
  • Even though I need to go more in-depth on a lot of those topics as a med student I still love watching your videos as an opener to a learning session. Love from Poland and thank you for your work!
  • Very easy to understand. Thanks, it has helped me to understand them better because I'm medical student

I just fell in love with your channel and your teaching. As a med and latin student I wholeheartedly believe etymology >>> mnemonics TOO!!
  • Thanks for this video, histology slides are pretty tricky for me and I appreciate the simple explanations! Thank you also for giving mnemonic tips and including the reason for giving certain names to structures, I find it incredibly helpful. I noticed the analogy you established between vessel layers and clothing, I think it's outstanding how much you care about relaying the information to us in a fun and easy to remember way. Overall I enjoyed it a lot, great job on this channel!
  • thank you so much, saving me in anatomy class. You make a difference keep going!
