  • I built a dump trailer a few years ago. My base trailer had coil springs and I cut the truck bed frame right behind them. This allowed me to tilt the trailer bed about 30% closer to the front. It turned it into more of a teeter totter effect. I then built a sub frame for the trailer bed. This required much less mechanical force to lift it, as the weight in the back helped lift the front. This also put the bed right on the ground allowing me to drive my ATV right in without the use of ramps. I loved your idea of lifting it, mine was not as ingenious. The two ideas combined would have been just the ticket. Thank you, I really enjoyed the video.
  • Hola Pechoo, buenas tardes. Que ingenioso. Me gusto mucho tu video mostrándonos el paso a paso en la construcción de este remolque volcados. Muchas gracias por registrarlo todo y compartirlo con todos nosotros. Muy buen trabajo. Segui adelante. Gracias.

It crazy that you did all this without listening to music, and it's even more crazy that I watched this without thinking to put music in the background for it 🤘 inspirational build man!
  • Top job Mate 👍. You may consider a 2:1 snatch block to reduce winch loading up. Downside would be twice as long to move through full range of motion.

typical german over engineering. the dump frame is now designed for medium duty despite resting on a an extreme light duty tin trailer frame that will bend before he even gets the box half loaded to capacity. also winch frame is almost heavy duty. he's not throwing a skid steer inside. even funnier is the particleboard glue floor. just saw dust and glue with the glue being the strongest part and the sawdust just a drying agent filler.great construction and fantastic welding tho, very beautiful weld bead worthy of mega machine construction.

Cant wait to try this set up on my trailer. This video is exactly what I have been searching for.
  • I like the way you reinforced the concept in my head of tack welding. I am a novice & my work shows it when I rush ahead without doing the tacks.
  • Double up the cable to double the pulling power of the winch. Take it to the scissors then through a pulley and then back to an anchor point at the winch. Slower but stronger.

It's so cool to see you use the tools you build over the last few years! You're a legend!
  • @Tomc8030
Excellent build. I love designing and building things and I’ve got to say this was a great build not a lot of people have the ability to design and build on the move.
  • @pete9503
Great video. You are clearly an experienced DYI design engineer and metal fabricator and have the proper tools to do it.

Łapka za pomysłowość i nakład pracy... Do lekkich towarów ok
  • For $20 you can add a snatch block then that winch will be plenty strong. The dump time will take twice as long, but the winch pull will be twice as strong. Great idea, good craftsmanship, and nice video. Thanks for sharing.
  • Very nice. I especially liked the way you mounted the winch so that it first pulls the edge of the bed up until it passes a certain point, (where pulling the arm becomes effective).
  • Бесконечно можно смотреть как горит огонь, как льётся вода, ну как работает человек.. РЕСПЕКТ автору, просто МОЛОДЕЦ, руки - из правильного места растут...👍👍👍👍👍

All you need to do to double the lifting power of the winch, would be to double the length of cable, add a pulley to where the cable is anchored on the hinge, and the cable would be strung through the pulley and anchored on the post that mounts the winch. Excellent video.
  • Very cool design and creativity. Cutting the cable on the winch shorter was a bold choice.
  • It's one thing to be a skilled welder, but this level of ingenuity is impressive! Great job!

The bed is connected only to the hinge on the frame. The airstream could cause the bed to raise up. Especially if you want to transport something light with great wind resistance. Therefore, I would recommend an additional lock that fixes the bed to the frame, so that this can be ruled out while riding.
