Is Mountain Hardwear Phantom 0° Down Sleeping Bag the best down sleeping bag? I took it out in 7 degree temperatures with industry certified thermometers and tested it out! I would not recommend Mountain Hardwear Phantom 0° Down Sleeping Bag below 10 degrees after my usage and testing. While Mountain Hardwear Phantom 0° Down Sleeping Bag is very comfortable, light and sexy, it really struggled at 7 degrees. I was amazed as this is a very expensive bag, which comes with big expectations. But it just did not perform. But, if you keep it above 10 degrees I think you will be happy. Here are the results!

Air Temp: 7° Degrees
Starting Temp In Bag: 31.7° Degrees
5 Minute Bag Temp: 59° Degrees
10 Minute Bag Temp: 68° Degrees
15 Minute Bag Temp: 72.5° Degrees
20 Minute Bag Temp: 74.4° Degrees
30 Min Bag Temp: 76.1° Degrees
35 Min Bag Temp: 77° Degrees
40 Min Bag Temp: 77.5° Degrees
45 Min Bag Temp: 76.2° Degrees

Da Berz and Da bag with the "creeping burr" factor. As the temperature drops inside. Good thing you exude the "Warm and Fuzees" Berz! Thank you for doing these reviews. Cheers, Mate.

I’ve had the same experience with this bag. I’ve had the bag for a year now, and spent in 40+ nights it. The bag doesn’t keep me as warm as I was expecting and by morning I find that I’m not toasty warm. The other issue with the bag is the fact it is narrow and doesn’t allow you to move around much.
