Slip. One of the greatest albums most never will know of.
-
Hum, Jawbox, Helmet, Swervedriver and the mighty Quicksand. The 90s fucking ruled.
-
Probably one of the most underrated bands ever
-
This album is so incredible it’s hard to put into words. Every person I’ve turned on to this has lost their mind. Every song is a masterpiece. And Walters vocals!??? Just unreal. One of my top 5 albums of all time hands down!!
-
This band deserved to be FAR bigger than they were.
-
Good, classic Post-Hardcore/Alternative Rock band. Gorilla Biscuits and Youth Of Today brought me here.
-
Just saw them in Boston last week for the 30th anniversary of Slip and they were firing on ALL cylinders! Having Stephen Brodsky on guitar and vocals made it so much cooler 😎. Quicksand is such an underrated band and I feel lucky to have discovered them 25 years ago and STILL listen to them all the time

When life gets bad for me, I have to remember that there was once a band called Quicksand and an album called Slip which could blast all pain away with the power of their Fender strats and Marshall amps.
-
Fun Fact-The Bass Player for Quicksand now plays for Deftones as the bassist.
-
my first big concert, 1993, Quicksand and Living Colour...: good old days...
-
Summer 1991, saw Quicksand in Syracuse, NY, opening for Fugazi on the Steady Diet tour. One of the best shows I've ever seen. You can hear the Fugazi influence on Slip. Still have Quicksand's 7" EP.
-
Two songs remind me of the 90's more than any others. Quicksand - Fazer, and Jawbox - Savory. I'm time traveling.
-
I'm here for Sergio! Sucks he had to leave Deftones. Fell in LOVE with Quicksand just after a few seconds into first-time listen, damn i feel stupid for not checking you guys out all these years.
-
they're still ahead of the curve here, and this was over 20 years old.
-
Nearly 30 years old....still one of the best Albums ever made...
-
i saw quicksand on the first warped tour in 1994 in houston at the astro arena. by the time they played there was only about 100 people left. what a show. walter schreifels jumped off the stage with his guitar still strapped on and hugged and thanked us for staying and going wild. that was awesome
-
Criminally underrated band
-
Just discovered this band, I'm so glad I did.
-
Helmet, Quicksand & Orange 9mm. What a great show.
-
This album changed everything I knew about music when I saw Quicksand open for Helmet in November of 1994. 28 years later and I'm still listening.
