Clash of clans has been adding a lot of really really good events recently. Love the development

My only criticism of the event is that it sucks that f2p players have to choose between a cosmetic or a game changing item. Hopefully both are released into the shop at some point cause it would suck if players starting after this event or currentley taking a break from the game missed out on the giant king equipment.

Personally I don't like the idea of releasing equipments as an event specific item since it's a key part of the offensive side of coc. Also wondering how new players are going to get access to it after this event....if they can't get access to it after this event that's gonna be a big downer

I'm a bit worried about the limited hero equipment though. Heroes will be stronger only if you do limited events, and if you miss them you could be missing out. Some strategies might even revolve around limited equipment.

One shot any building, decent hp and just 10 freaking housing space. Couldnt get any broken than that 💀

As a few others in this comment section have noted, I'm extremely concerned with what they're doing with epic equipment, between locking it behind a limited time event, making it's stats objectively stronger than other equipment at the same level, how strong that ability is and the whole rarity system in general. This time it's pretty obtainable if you play enough, which is an issue in itself, but where does it go from here? When will this equipment return? Is current equipment even worth upgrading if it's just going to get powercrept out of existance? Will there be legendary equipment that's even more broken? When do they start dipping their toes into outright selling it with IAP? How much of a disadvantage will you be at if you miss the latest item? Equipment was incredibly exciting as a concept, however, if this is how they're going to treat it going forward then I'm really disappointed. Clash of Clans until now had an amazing balance between paying and playing, especially compared to the vast majority of mobile games. You could of course just drop a fat stack and get to max TH16, but not only will you have not learned years worth of how things work or strategies needed to get into bases, but you will have also missed out on the journey, which is the main appeal of the game IMO. And they're still making so much money from the game but compared to Clash Royale, I didn't really mind that at all. I hope CoC can work out a great balance for equipment in the future.

I really appreciate the events for the holidays, like Mashup Madness, it really does make Clash feel more lively :] especially with the neat stuff you get during the events

I really liked the last event that on f2p if you grind enough you can get the hero skin. However in this update you'd be 90 short, so no skins for heroes no matter what for f2p players that doesn't buy from the cookie bp. To me that is why this event to me is worse than the event before with Halloween madness

I kind of feel like they shouldve made the ''bonus cookies'' uncapped, since the store items are capped anyways, people would just play/grind more to get as many rewards as possible. Kind of pointless to have a cap on both the ''amount of cookies you can earn'' and ''the amount of things you can buy'' since most people usually go for the skin, theres nothing else to buy with the left over medals, no statues, no bonus resources and not even the epic gear without spending money, but even when spending money you cant buy the skin, gear and maybe a book. Or at least make the paid version of the event have uncapped bonus reward

that's definitely really gross that theyre making permanent equipment available in events only. that's really gross and toxic for future returning players. if it was just an event only equipment that disappears after the evet, that would be much better. Unless the equipment is easily available once the event ends.

They could introduce "magically fortified walls" which can not be destroyed by spells or units only by siege machines. Players could choose from geometrical shapes (like cross, rectangles, deltoid etc. like in Tetris), but the magically fortified walls could not touch each other (like in Torpedo). Players could unlock more and more sections with higher town halls and upgrades. The attacker could see some of these or all of these special wall pieces. Maybe a new spell or passive aura could reveal the hidden ones. This new type of passive defense could shake-up the strategies and give back the meaning of upgrading walls while it could give fun on lower town halls too.

Good to know f2p can get the epic equipement as well. They should have a way to get them after the event ends tho, fomo isnt something i like to see

I love how Clash is adding more characters to some of the troops that'd rather be baking, building, or even playing video games instead of fighting on the frontlines and dying over 9000 times ( pun intended )
