Make sure you fill your tank before so is easy to find the leak. You gonna need a something to collect the gasoline because when you switch the part if the tank is full gasoline is gonna flow like crazy. If after you fuel you car you smell gasoline you probably have the fuel pump cap crack, "Disconnect the battery "Take the back seat off and the pump cap is on the passenger side. Cost me $85 To replace I ordered it from "pelican parts"

Thanks bro, I have a 2005 C240 with a po456, I haven't found the leak yet so I may have to remove the back seat like you did to find the leak.

  • Hi, I have a 2002 Mercedes Benz ML320. It’s showing large evap leak. The fuel pump was brand new. My boyfriend had a hard time putting it in. He broke the clips on the outside but still managed to get it down screw the top on. Gas smell stopped but now the vehicle won’t start. It’s not getting gas to the engine. Can you help?? What can that be?? Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌴🌴🌺
  • This same leak happened to my 2011 c300. It cracked after I filled up my car then I kept clicking the gas pump trying to fit more gas and top off the tank more.. it can't handle the extra pressure. I was dumb. It even says on the gas door on my Mercedes "Do Not Top Off".
