Timecup Glitch Showcase [The Under Presents]

Published 2021-07-29
This is a showcase of a bunch of known glitches relating to a strange, glitchy object called the Timecup. The Timecup is a glass beaker located in Billy's lab in Timeboat Act 2. This beaker is extremely glitchy. For one, it can be held from any distance, never pulling away a time clone or breaking your connection. Taking any number of actions while the Timecup is being held can have a number of strange, glitchy effects.
First, I show scrunch corruption. Scrunching while holding the Timecup results in the game freezing up mid-scrunch. You become unable to move horizontally for any reason, or interact with your menu, while the game audio distorts horrendously. This lasts until you release the Timecup. Effectively, no scrunching while holding it.
Telesprinting, however, is the polar opposite. Teleporting while holding the Timecup results in extremely fast movement in the direction the teleporting hand is pointed, with speed increasing based on how close to the horizon your hand is. You can brake by starting another teleport or running into an object. Also worth mentioning is that telesprinting into solid objects may, on occasion, result in you phasing through it, even more so if collision is disabled. Telesprinting is incredibly hard to control, and incredibly fast, but is also the only way to get around besides plain-old walking when the Timecup is being held, making it very useful for Timecup-related glitches.
Then, there's one of the most well-known Timecup-caused glitches: collision disabling. By holding the Timecup and pushing your head into a form of real-world collision (the type that causes your camera to fade to black and teleports you backwards), like an in-game wall, you'll find that the camera fades to black, but does not push you back. At this point, removing and replacing your mask will cause you to become completely immune to this real-world collision, allowing you to walk through anything by literally walking through it.
Finally is one of the newest glitches: Time warp. Time warping is what happens when you transition to another map while holding the Timecup. This glitch isn't entirely understood right now, but based on current evidence, it seems to displace your spawning position downward by some amount. I spend a decent while trying to bring the Timecup to Thew's puzzle to see what happens, but ultimately slip up and accidentally scrunch, causing corruption and forcing me to stop. For now, Time warp is not very well understood, and is still being experimented with. If anything new comes to light, I'll post a more in-depth video about time warping and its effects.
