What’s interesting to me is how much more intense Tougou’s transformation is compared to the rest of the cast. Like, with the other characters, we see their major body regions transforming individually, with circle- and line-like burst of light appearing as they do, and except for Yuuna brushing her arm, their transformations lack other actions until after most of the transformation is complete. Tougou has a different transformation, with ropes binding her wrists, heels, and chest and forcing her limbs outwards. Her pose during the actual transformation is noticeably more intense, and she transforms in a single burst of light as opposed to part-by-part. In addition, her background during and after the transformation is noticeably different. It’s an unsettling mix of purple, blue, and red, and during the transformation it also includes whitewater-like streaks of white. Unlike other characters who have petals around them, Tougou has crystals, which form crisscrossing lines for much of the sequence. The start is also different. For other characters, petals cover the screen, then disperse to reveal the transforming character. For Tougou, the petals are instead crystals, and they form a wall in front of the screen. That wall is then shot full of holes, revealing an anxious-looking Tougou behind it, and the gap before the ropes come in is longer than the gap before the other characters start transforming.

A friend of mine introduced me to this anime, so glad she did Very shook that Karin has the same English voice actress as Sayaka Miki from Madoka Magica Uni from Hyperdimension Neptunia, and Yaten from Sailor Moon.

As a major magical girl fan, Yuki Yuna has some of the best magical Girl transformations ever tbh.

I don't know if this was intentional with the similar transformations, but it appears that Karin and Gin both sacrificed themselves to protect their friends from the same Vertex. Both kept going until they reached their limit.

3:20.....RIP Gin Minowa...... I saw episode 4.....So that's what happened to her. I saw the first season and I love their their transformations on here. Really nice. I saw Washio aka Togo and I saw Sonoko Nogi. That's when I first saw Gin. And I wondered to myself, "What happened to her?" Now I know. How awful..... Where the hell are their fairies?! This wouldn't happened if they had them......

Geez all of these beautiful transformations, i wish Pony Canyon make movie adaption of Nogi Wakaba is the Hero(plus the extra chapter and Shiratori Utano) series and Kusunoki Mebuki series

The series is really good especially season 1 and season 2 Season 2 was tensing hardcore I don't even imagine about it...makes me feel like I want to watch it again So far my favorite magical girl in this series is yuna, Togo, and Karin

There's way more boob jiggles and fanservice in Washio's transformation than Togo's XD

Quick reminder that Washio Sumi (referring to her younger self by her old name) probably had quite the perverted audience for her transformations containing a lot of lewd(?) shots despite herself being the age of 12...
