  • I'm convinced that we flip our coins top-to-bottom because we don't use the metric system. 🤣

Be careful with the magnet test, some fakes are made from silver but a lower ratio! If you use a coin slide you can see that the fakes slide a bit quicker down the ramp as they are made from lower silver content. 1. Check the dimensions of the coin ( a lot of fakes are not the correct size 2. Check the weight of the coin (a lot of fakes are lighter) 3. Google silver coin gravity test (This simple test works VERY well!)

Cool you addressed the fear of fakes, 365! We all get suspicious sometimes.

Most jewellers that buy second hand jewellery will be quite happy to test your silver . When they give you a price, just say neah, I'll wait while longer , one way of getting your silver tested 😉

Weighing the coin and taking the measurements of the coin are another way.

Good Morning 365 happy US Tax day! (Nah! It's the weekend so we get an extension...😆) A little additional info: All US coins flip vertically not horizontally. The European standard and hence many world currencies flip horizontally. Could probably do a whole history on that why (British Imperialism vs US Separatism?)😅 Also the missing reed security feature is weak (the US Mint is a joke), but there is a little more to it. Each year the missing reed is moved to a different location on the coin. This location is not documented until the coins first release. Also pretty weak - the counter fitters just keep making 22's until theyknow what the '23s will look like. It is an adventure each year waiting to find out😂 where the missing reed will be. Keep up the great work on CBDC and calling out the Royal Mint QC issues!

There are some minting errors where the Eagle is not aligned correctly. If you see one, use Magnets, weight, PING, et cetera to confirm it is real silver as these Errors sell for more as they are collectible to some people. Always be vigilant: test before you buy. :)
  • Amazing video 365 with some awesome info. I was going to do a video about identifying fake silver next Friday 😂 Great tips! 🔥
  • I like to get into stacking silver. Where is best places to buy from? Best price? Real silver not fake?
  • Super video 365 😊 I bought my first Fake silver off eBay recently 😳 Thankfully I have a sigma. People need to watch out because fakes are getting better. Thanks for taking the time to teach people how to watch out for themselves 😊

So if I take my 2022 and flip it left to right and it’s the same orientation then I’m screwed?
  • You are correct. That etsy seller is fake nor are they based in England.
  • The security feature on the side could be better done Imo. But kool nevertheless.
  • I'm so glad to see this video because this new shopping app Temu is allegedly selling "Silver" American Eagles. For like $1.98!! Of course that's what tipped me off, but I did purchase one to see. It looks great, however it is NOT SILVER! I took a magnet to it right away. It stuck! Lol. But they are labled as SILVER! Ugh

I went to Bermuda once on vacation and bought 11 silver coins at a great deal and now I know why. I did not have my Sigma verifier with me. They were all fake but they looked fantastic. Anybody want a fake coin lol.
