I lost my great grandma in October 2020 like 3 days before my 12th birthday. She was the sweetest grandma anyone could ask for. Sometimes she’d forget who I was but not to often. She was amazing and was almost 100, she got sick and passed about a month later. She meant the absolute world to me and when I woke up and mom said that she was gone I didn’t hadn’t even walked all the way down the hallway and dropped to the floor and didn’t stop crying for like 3 hours. Her funeral was even worse because most of the pictures had me and her side by side or me in her lap. When we buried her it was terrible. Luckily we got some roses from her funeral bouquet and made some very special items out of them. I was going to her grave at least 3x a week but we moved and I haven’t been in about a month. I lost my grandma back in December due to dementia. She meant everything to me. We used to play when I was younger, she always made food for me, she always watched me. And last year, she was diagnosed dementia and everything changed. Two months later, she could not remember my name. She just called me a little girl.
