Challenger is an American brand of agricultural tractors. Challenger tractors have been manufactured at the company's Jackson, Minnesota facility.
The Jackson plant has reduced production costs, increased productivity, improved product quality, and shortened production time when compared to its competitors. As well as making Challenger tractors at the facility, the company also manufactures combined harvesters, hay and forage equipment, and seeding and tillage implements.

Building SS - Assembly, test and paint of Caterpillar’s medium and large track-type tractors.
Building LL -Tractor and undercarriage components are fabricated, heat treated, machined and painted in Building LL.
The Mapleton Plant is a modern, electric melting, gray iron foundry that produces high-quality castings. The primary castings produced are cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, and cylinder liners.

If this plant is in Jackson, Minnesota, I toured this plant with other tractor riders in 2007 before our 60 mile ride with older tractors ! They were making Challenger track tractors that saturday in July.

You keep switching what is being made. You show a SISU engine, not a CAT engine. The 865E's don't have any CAT parts anymore, if they do, it would only be the transmission. AGCO owns and makes Challengers.

AGCO bought the Challenger brand in late 2001, built them with CAT parts through 2010 ish,,,, Since then they are a full AGCO product, now with MAN engines and FENDT transmissions... Anyway, CAT sold their Agriculture division 20 years ago!!!

I used to build them when they was built in Dekalb Illinois they are done much different now that was in 1995
