How To Make All-Natural Lip Balm with Beeswax, Shea Butter, and Coconut Oil"

100% Natural & Organic Essential Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil Lip Balms

Enjoy this organic, all natural Homemade lip balm that is simple & easy to create! It has a long shelf life and works well to moisturize the skin on lips. Our recipe utilizes pure ingredients that you can feel good about putting on your body and on our children’s bodies. I love that you can control the quality and scent. You Will Need 1/4 cup each of beeswax, shea butter, and coconut oil (use equal amounts of each to increase quantity as desired – be sure to increase essential oil quantity as well), and 12-20 drops of essential oil (more or less as preferred) Suggested oils: grapefruit, sweet orange, peppermint, lavender, vanilla, chamomile. Prepare containers for quick pour once ingredients are completely melted. Using either a double boiler or a sauce pot with bowl, add the beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil. Melt over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat. If using essential oils, add them now and stir to combine. Use a heat protector to hold the bowl and pour the mixture through the funnel into your awaiting containers or use baster. Remember the liquid will set quickly so make sure to pour it right after removing from the heat. Let the balm set at room temperature. It is ready to use once solid! Tips To speed the process up, you can place a piece of foil over the top of the bowl if using the saucepan and bowl method. Prepare containers before melting process, and have heat protective gloves ready for use. Use balm-style containers or chapstick tubes; always your preference! Using beeswax pellets makes the process easier. Tools You Might Need: funnel, double boiler or saucepan with a bowl, containers to hold the balm, spatula, heat protective gloves, damp clothes for cleaning containers. Enjoy!

This was super cool and helpful. Thanks for sharing. You always have such great content!
  • I actually just made this today. I think I'll add more beeswax as what I made is pretty soft, but this recipe is incredibly moisturizing and long lasting. Thank you

I have made this receipe many times and its brilliant. Thanks for sharing. I do not add any essential oil as some people have allergies so keep mine plain. I only give to friends and family. We have our own hive so it doesn't cost much. I have found using a 20ml syringe the easiest way to add the liquid to containers. I have used the microwave once when I was in a hurry but not sure if that impacts on the quality?

Beautiful video ❤ I just started making mine and they're great! I noticed you use equal amounts of each. I've been doing 3 part oil 1 part butter and 1 part wax. Is that too much liquid? They seem fine.
