NYC got the city they voted for

Those 41 people arrested will be released to continue their crimes.

This is hurting the community as a whole. These people should be charged with organized crime.

As they say: "As far as government is concerned, nothing happens by accident" ...

The fact that NYC is now blaming Ebay for their retail theft rings just proves that the people running that city take zero accountability for their policies.

Tolerating shoplifting below $1000 is ABSURD. That will DESTROY businesses.

It's SCARY to imagine an Active Shooter coming in. It's bad enough when an INACTIVE shooter comes in to the store.

or maybe add + $1000 to the price of all goods and at the checkout say something like: you won a discount - $1000 to the price

Not even some 3rd world countries have this level of theft with little to no punishment 😂

My question is WHY are law abiding citizens in NY voting for the ppl who allow this?

Can't lock up criminals but can track ice cream. Only in New York, man.

Not punishing criminals is like protecting and encouraging criminals.......... This can't run in long run

In China, shop owners can use violence to defend themselves against shoplifters. But, given there are so many street cameras in Chinese cities, thieves are usually caught within hours. Currently, in China shop lifting is pretty much nonexistent, because 1: shop owners can defend themselves and 2: the police will catch you and will persecute you if you get caught. Catch and release is not a thing in China. I think shop lifting in the US is running out of control is because the government is giving criminals too many rights. At this point, it almost feel like criminals have more rights than law abiding citizens. However, every time when the government tries to protect the rights of a criminal, the government is doing a dis-service to anyone who obeys the law. To punish a criminal harshly, is the greatest respect to any law abiding citizens. It is sad to see what the US is becoming.

And those state lawmakers that refuse to increase penalties will literally get voted to stay in office.That's how stupid people are.
