The fact that Rick said the woman UNDERBID instead of jumping at the chance to take advantage of someone's ignorance is awesome to see
  • @JB-ie3vo
I really wish they’d do follow up episodes about when they sell the items! Could be a whole spinoff!!

Chum said Samurai are there to serve the Emperor. That sword in the 16th century the Samurai didn't care about the emperor. They served the Shogun. The Emperor had no power until the Meiji Rebellion.
  • it is impossible not to love Chum... he just does thing without thinking.

I just love Chum’s story arc. From a bumbling joke of a man to a chill dude who knows more than he lets on.

These are really great stories. The history, interaction, and negotiation are classic salesman behavior.

9:32 might be my favorite spot out of this entire series. There’s something about the magical music that makes it extra hilarious.

Still waiting for a Pawn Stars Forged in Fire crossover!
  • 10:22 "I'm assuming i'm gonna get 100 bucks outta this thing" <--to customer 11:54 "I think i'll get a couple hundred bucks for it" <--to the old man
  • @chriswilson3126
It was refreshing to see the guy with the John Wayne sword act so reasonably. Normally when told the item is worthless the customer starts acting daft like they know more than the expert.

"What? You sold my freakin swords? You mad?" 1 minute later "Oh sir you can have all of my swords in this tiny little shop please"

Samurai usually served feudal lords known as daimyos. These daimyos were powerful landowners and military leaders in feudal Japan. The samurai pledged their loyalty and service to a specific daimyo, and in return, they received land, protection, and often a stipend. The relationship between a samurai and their daimyo was a central aspect of the feudal social structure in Japan.

I really like Alex. He just has such a nice vibe and is legit excited for the antiques he appraises.

I generally prefer later season “smart Chumlee”, but god help me, Chum with that Scissor Katar is pretty epic. I lost it when the Old Man said he wasn’t going to pay Chumlee’s workers comp 😂

Chumlee is a ninja with a butter knife and a slice of chocolate cake.
