"There is no substitute for talent. I've seen hustling teams finish last." - Alvin Dark.
  • Grifol seems to have forgotten that Kenny Williams is no longer around. You don't have to pretend to be angry about losses anymore. This White Sox team is terrible. If I was manager, I would absolutely want to get myself fired. But Reinsdorf's cheapness exceeds his desire for positive change, so Grifol ain't goin' nowhere.

The organization as a whole from the top down is terrible. Nobody cares and nobody wants to find a way to fix it. Reinsdorf is a terrible owner, both his teams suck, and he refuses to spend money or hire anyone that has a proven record for winning. Someone PLEASR but the team from him and end this continual misery

Grifol is as exciting as a doorknob.

This team was on its way to another 100 losses, with or without Grifol, no mgr can turn this team around, lack of all around talent obviously,😅Getz hired Grifol, Jerry Reinsdorf is the real Clown, the way he runs this team, he just wants his new park built to raise his asking price for the Sox, he likes the the losses gives him the excuse to move out of Bridgeport

If the Portland Trail Blazers don't have Clyde Drexler when the 1984 NBA Draft takes place, Jerry Reinsdorf's only claim to fame in North American sports is how unapologetically he has been the sports equivalent of a slumlord.

Kudos for the Shakespeare pull during a baseball rant on sports radio.
  • @SouthsideSox007
Larussa could manage this team better taking a nap in the dugout better than Grifol can wide awake.

I think Grifol is right. Granted, the Orioles are a very difficult opponent. What Ozzie Guillen said earlier in the season still resonates in my mind. "The reason they fired Rick and Kenny was them. It's just that. If they think I'm wrong, prove me wrong. Most of the time managers get blamed when the players don't perform. But when they fire the people who signed you. Look yourself in the mirror, it's time to start playing better."

As a manager im watching this guy closely as a lesson on what not to do/say/be. Fascinating

Pedro knows he’s gone and Sergio Sanchez will be the new manager. How can’t he know? Sergio wins every where he manages

You can play out this White Sox scenario in a million different ways in a million different universe's & the results will all be the same. 40-122 because of not enough talent & bad management.
  • Now I know why even KC passed on him as a manager, and KC is not good, either. LOL Getz has no clue what he is doing, either. He had many chances in the minors and look where that went? SMH.

Can't wait to see him gone (and, frankly, the whole Chicago Royals Experiment). But let's NOT chant to fire him, every game, home and away. However bad a situation, it can always get worse. We started with a 2- team WS winner who took the 21 Sox to the playoffs, and chanted him out (the 22 team finishing at .500. That got us this guy, who took a healthier version of that Sox team to 40 games below .500 in 23. Now we're in the running to out-bad the 62 Mets. If we chant this guy out, what would we get? Also, how about the training staff? Same players, same type of injuries again and again and again for years. Do they even have anyone besides Andrew Vaughn stretch? Are they just training the Sox for strength, not flexibility? What is it? Feh
  • @wentzr
What part of were not gonna talk about that dont you understand 😂
  • @jvas33
So much for "retooling" this team.
  • @keving1776
I hated the hire from day 1, never had a drop of confidence in this guy. 2 years in a row this team came out of Spring unprepared and no game plan. I went to Spring and this team does not prepare at the level of other teams I watched. Thats on the Manager.

Once again Lawrence doing the people's work while Dan rants like an idiodic schoolgirl
