As if Covid 19 wasn't enough to kick the music industry in the bollocks and stop Sweet touring in 2020. I now hear of the sad passing of Steve Priest today. A great guitarist/ musician and entertainer. Early memories from the 1970's when Sweet performed on british TV alongside the likes of Slade, T Rex, David Bowie and others will remain with me. RIP Steve.

I had the pleasure of being at several Sweet gigs at one at the Blackpool Mecca I shouted for a song. Steve Priest turned his back to me his jacket had ‘fuck you’ embroidered on it. Then he killed me with a wink of his eye. RIP Steve x

RIP Steve Norman Priest! Thanks for the classic memories and brilliant bass playing, lead and backing vocals. The Sweet are still my favourite rock band after 47 years. Condolences to all your family!!!
