Everyone speaking perfectly articulated sentences and thoughts and then you have Selena just saying “hola, sí, taco” 💀
  • Zoe Zaldana's Spanish was so comfortable and easy to listen to.

People tend to think that Latinas and Latinos are a specific race. There are white, black, mixed, and every other race of them.

Mia Goth speaks Portuguese so well, I'm obsessed with her voice 😭
  • Didn’t know half of these actresses were Latin and I’m so proud that they represent our culture 🙏🙏🙏

What a privilege to have your parents teach you more than 1 language. My family was from EVERYWHERE, that they only taught me English, and I was so pissed about that growing up.
  • Man I just love how Portuguese sounds like. For work purposes I study English and Finnish but later I'd like to learn Portuguese. Such a beautiful language.

Listening to Anya speak Spanish is fascinating. The Argentine accent is so unique.
  • The way Michelle Rodriguez easily switches between Spanish and English is flawless

Thanks for including Portuguese! Many people forget that brazilians are latin too 😘😘😘 beijos from Brasil

Wow lupita nyongo's Spanish and her spanish accent is absolutely perfect

It's actually nice to have all these clips back to back because it's really easy to see the differences in dialect and slang and even speed between the different types of Spanish (and even Brazilian!) accents. It's a great educational resource too, honestly.
  • I'm jealous of how so many of them were born in the USA but speak their native tongues. I wish my parents only spoke our native language at home like Alexis' parents did.

It was cool hearing some of these actresses speak Spanish, but when I heard Anya Taylor-Joy speak Spanish for the first time my mind was blown. I was speechless. I had no idea she was Latina as I've only previously heard her speak with an English accent thinking she was British.

Mia Goth, Hailey Bieber, Alexis Bledel, Anya Taylor-Joy, Lupita Nyong’o were pleasant surprises

I'm so happy Brazil is being included 🥲 I always feel like we're the outcast of latinoamerica
  • I LOVE the way Portuguese sounds. The way it flows is just so pretty 🥰

This is beautiful. It shows that Latina comes in all different looks and places. It shows that no matter what, we are all bound by our language and our birthplaces, and to me that's very beautiful.

I was born and raised in New York but my parents are Salvadoran . My mom always tells me the story about how I told her I didn’t wanna be Latino or speak Spanish because I grew up in a white predominantly Jewish neighborhood on Long Island so she got a job that took us to Peru for almost a year when I was 13. We traveled to Argentina , Chile and Uruguay too and that experience changed my life . I came back a proud Latino . I became aware of the advantage I had for speaking Spanish . I embraced my culture and I’m the proudest Latino you’ll meet . It’s helped me with job opportunities , It’s helped me traveling and making friends in different countries , even my closest friends here in nyc are Hispanic . I don’t have kids but my brother has a son and I pay for him to take private Spanish classes so that he has the same experiences as my brother and I did .
