A Walk Around Castle Combe - is this the most beautiful village in Britain?

Published 2024-03-13
This is claimed to be one of Britain's most beautiful villages. It is in the county of Wiltshire, England. The village is Castle Combe. Let's explore it together and also see a medieval faceless clock in action in St Andrew’s Church.

Castle Combe used to have a 12th central castle which is now only a mound and is not accessible as it is within Castle Combe golf course.

Castle Combe lies within the Cotswolds a designated area of outstanding natural beauty in England. Most of houses are over 400 years old and look for the most part like the day they were built. All are built with local stone.

Castle Combe is a very popular tourist attraction and you will see why when you watch the video. People come from all over the world. It’s set in beautiful countryside too and not far from the Georgian City of Bath.

Thanks, we used to take our children for picnic 's on a Sunday. Love from Africa 🌍 🇿🇦😊
  • What a lovely channel! It popped up in my recommended videos today, and truly it is lovely. So many walking channels don't do any talking, and me, a Yank who knows very little about English villages, LOVES videos with talking and background info on the locations! Thank you!

Thank you, Roland, from the US. We spent some lovely hours in Castle Combe a year ago, so nice to be able to see it again through your video.
