Teams are more than just an icon. It can bring A father and daughter together, bonding moments between friends, perhaps a first date for a future husband and wife. Memories surround that experience. When that ends, it's like losing a family member.

I mean we all saw this coming, but you have to say....this is a crappy feeling for hockey in Az even if you aren't a Yotes fan.

I feel for Arizona and its fans. As an Oiler fan this is one loss I am not upset about. I really hope Arizona is back in the NHL one day. The passion that fan base has for that team is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I remember having a Yotes jersey when I was younger. I will miss Arizona being in the league.

As a Utah resident and hockey fan, my heart goes out to Arizona fans. I sincerely hope things work out for the Coyotes franchise. In the meantime, your team is now in Salt Lake City and we would love to invite you to the games where your team is playing. We promise to welcome the team you have fallen in love with with all the love in our hearts.

Growing up in northern Minnesota and listening to my Minnesota North Stars on a transistor radio when I was a kid hit me hard when it was announced that the Stars were moving to Dallas. My senior year in 1984 we took a class trip to watch the Devils and Stars play and was like a dream come true then up and left.😱

Happiest I’ve ever felt after a loss. But I feel terrible for the Coyotes and their fans. Hopefully hockey returns to the desert one day🙏
  • @Mike1__
Sickest jerseys in league dont deserve to disappear
  • @Mr152008
Sharks fan. I watched the Warriors move across the Bay, I watched the Raiders leave, I'm watching the A's leave... Arizona I am sorry you have to go through this. It's not fair; you deserve better 💙
  • I love the appreciation that the supporters gave the team. Staying to see their heroes.

Regardless of view it's sad when a city loses a sports team. The Coyotes had a long 28 year run. But politics and business issues finally caught up to the team. My heart felt condolences to the team and it's fans.

As divisive as some sports can be, it always amazes me to see the love from all around the hockey fanbases. Sure things were mostly rocky, but man I have come to love watching this team through its ups and downs. This does hurt, sad to see them go and I will miss them. Best of luck to the players and the organization moving forward.
  • The city of Phoenix threw this team and their fans under the bus. Good luck in SLC, hopefully they can do a better job.
  • Thank you Arizona..thank you coyotes for showing me, after i had forgotten that an NHL team cam become part of the family.
  • We will always remember Arizona as one of the coolest NHL teams with the coolest logo! I am personally a Detroit fan, but I love this team and can't thank them enough for everything!!! Thank you Coyotes!! I have faith that this team will see the light of day one day
  • @HeMansDad
Such a good sport. Love Coyotes fans. I don’t even live close but I miss it. I feel your pain.
  • @franz6859
It must absolutely suck for the Coyotes staff. Most of them will most likely lose their jobs 😱
  • @Ultra-Gamer81
It is sad. Those people in Arizona love their hockey and deserve a team. Hopefully they will get a successful team one day very soon. Much love from Pittsburgh to all the Coyotes fans!
  • @teamendeavor20
As a hawks fan will never forget what the yotes did to us in the playoffs that one year. Will be drinking tonight for all the Coyotes fans out there. Cheers đŸ„‚
