D/C HORSE RECENTLY STARTED BUCKING and Refusing To Get Caught | PART 1

Published 2023-06-27
This broke to ride horse recently started bucking, and also started refusing to be caught.

This is a good demonstration of how to use a spot of influence to your advantage to create mindful communication and connection, and establish yourself as the respected and trusted leader for your horse.

You'll clearly see how this video displays when the horse was not listening at all and then the mental and physical changes that happened when the horse found enough reason to listen.

Look out for Part 2 next week!

  • Good morning. As I mentioned before, our horsemanship approach is parallel, but I ALWAYS gain something new every time I watch your videos. So, thanks for taking the time to make them. I come across several clients, almost all of them, who have anthropomorphized their horses, and refuse to acknowledge that it's a horse. They are big on the "hoochie coochie" , "googoo gaga", "touchy feely" affection without gaining any respect. Then they wonder why the horse constantly runs them over and doesn't respond to them in a safe way. I can achieve healthy respect and understanding of boundaries with just about any horse, but the owners have a hard time showing any leadership that the horse will respect. Anyhow, thanks for your time.
  • I could listen to a God fearing man all day, practically. There's no such thing as a small job, just small men Best of blessings from from Hamilton Ontario Canada.

You are great at pointing out the little movements of the horse. I’m so glad I found your channel! You are a wonderful teacher.
  • I asked you question and realized you answered it by the end of the video :) the key to not having a horse get to this point is to consistently work then it seems ?
  • Excellent. This is exactly what I was dealing with on my Hancock mare. I bet you can get results much quicker than I did....6 months. When I returned her to riding, I had a few minor lazy issues but we worked through those fairly quickly. After 3 rides, she was going along nicely.

Thank you so much for all the work you put in to these videos. You are an amazing horseman and I can tell you really know your horses. 😊 I just love seeing the little dot next to your channel, telling me there’s something new I can learn about or tech my horse.😂 Anyway, thank you for your work!

I have one that bucks but easy to catch … ground work good transitions with walk, trot and canter. Walks up to mounting block without halter Appears calm— faces up. He will buck when saddle put on and put into lope on the ground if not had saddle on in awhile I rode him up until I saw him buck others off … shows no anxiety suddenly bucks Thanks for this video

That’s been the problem with my Phoenix after she was off for the summer due to extreme and dangerous heat.

I would like to have known was if he had been checked for any soreness or pain. For him to have been doing okay and then started bucking and being hard to catch, my first thought was that could have been his defense mechanism to protect himself from pain.

It's tough once one figures they can get you off! U got to some how teach them that's not in their best interest to do so!
