Schlatt explains why he hates logos now. For the second time. This time heā€™s angrier.

Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Google, Microsoft, Corporate Design, Big Tech Art Style, Corporate Memphis Art Style... I can go on and on. The oversimplification of company logos really grinds my gears in this long rant vid where Schlatt complains for 20 minutes straight. At least I am releasing my Gamersupps flavor soon so I am happy about that.

I loved meeting Schlatt at the side of highway 3, he crawled out from an underpass and stabbed me in the feet. He then proceeded to scream NYC #1 while walking away. Best fan interaction ever šŸ˜āœØ

these logos are actually quite fitting because it reflects how soulless the actual corporations are
  • @TedNivison
reminds me of when Schlatt & Co. turned their company logo to a picture of a statue of a monkey with big golden balls and then changed it back 6 hours later

After all the Twitter/X bullshit thatā€™s been going on, we need a part 2 to this video

16:50 as a graphic designer, I love this and this is what I wish my clients wanted more, these vibes instead of corporate shit

I'm glad his editors are keeping the channel alive. The Deepfake is getting better every video. RIP Schlart 1998 - 2021 (struck by a sober driver)

13:14 Schlatt saying "Make no mistake, we live in a dystopian. It's just a whole lot more boring." goes so hard.

A company had a small little idea: ā€œhey, letā€™s simplify our logo to a modern aesthetic. Setting us apart from all the rest.ā€ And then every other company in existence had that exact same idea all at the same time.

I like how the scripting style is a lot like his old video essays even though his delivery is like a modern Schlatt vid edit: Now that I think about it this video is suspiciously similar to Aztro's video on the same topic

I'm glad Schlatt brought up the Staples logo reveal. That shit the funniest thing a company has ever done.

The aggresiveness in "Schlatt's" "YOU WILL DIE IF YOU LOOK LIKE THIS" always gets me

I remember the iSnack thing. It was actually their experimental vegemite and kraft cheese mixture. They quickly ditched the name for ā€˜cheesybiteā€™, which is a far more palatable name and makes me consider whether or not the whole thing was a psyop so that the public would more readily accept cheesybite.

I love that Schlattā€™s main way of pinpointing history is just saying ā€œbeforeā€ and ā€œafterā€ 9/11

Shlatt managed to say everything the art community has been screaming about Alegria for years. šŸ˜šŸ˜‚

I wish Schlatt made more videos like this tbh
  • @SpicyCook
I studied graphic design in college and wrote heavily about this stuff, good to see Iā€™m not the only one hating the ill-proportioned people.
  • @Dalynx09
This has to be the only time Schlatt has ever been a normal person
  • @dilEmmaClaire
As a graphic designer, I am so glad Schmitt talked about the horror of Alegra corporate minimalism
  • I dont think I'll be able to emotionally accept this last image at the end, it's just so beautiful yet deadly to my eyes. I feel the font of each letter through my veins, each punctuation, comma, apostrophe, period. So moving. I am in shambles, I am flooding the earth with my tears (which was also the cause for the Great Drowning Of Men in 1219) I feel so much passion from this image. And the piercing "Dawn of 1,2,3 day" sound from Majora's Mask made my heart jump outside my rib cage. It was overall just nothing but an epic and emotional rollercoaster.
