DAY 2 - SUNCOAST Bike Trail, Starkey Wilderness Trail and Oldsmar Trail in Tampa.

On the second day, I took Suncoast Bike Trail towards Tampa. I rode on it about 40 miles, then I turned to Starkey Wilderness Trail, which was really beautiful, and after riding a little while on Pinellas trail, I made it to Pinellas County and headed to Tampa by Oldsmar Trail by the Lake Tarpon Canal. I rode 80 miles on the second day of my bike tour. Next, I'm heading to Sarasota, but that's gonna be already tomorrow.

Hello Thomas, I wish I had known you were out there this past weekend. You are literally in my backyard coming down the Suncoast and Starkey Park. I ride out there pretty much every weekend on my road bike, but two weeks ago I packed up and rode from the house in Holiday to my friend's place in Clermont. Yes through Starkey and up the Suncoast before making my on the back roads to Clermont. The gator is a regular! Good stuff and thanks for sharing. ~Ron

One of the great things about a bike tour is the ability to consume vast quantities of calories - almost anything you want to eat is fair game. When I rode my bike from Michigan to Wyoming and back I consumed about 6,000 calories a day for seven weeks. Mmmm...burritos!

My "home trail." You passed within 2 miles of my house. I am keen in riding the C2C solo when the Temps cool down. By the way, that alligator is a regular at that spot.
