Today Uncle Stonnie is demonstrating our approach to training a fearful, and kind of aggressive, Goldendoodle. Although Stonnie is demonstrating with this cute Goldendoodle puppy, Ruby, the same basic advice holds true for most breeds and types.

We hope you guys enjoy!

Are you a fan of my training style, but can’t travel to Kentucky to see me in person? No worries! I offer an awesome online dog training course, which includes access to an array of exclusive videos and content, personalized coaching, journaling, and in-depth mentoring and evaluation by yours truly! If you just need some an advice or have a couple questions you need answered, I also offer professional consulting by the hour. Both of these great services can be found here: www.kentuckycanine.com/ Thank you all for your remarkable support over the years! I cannot express enough how grateful I am for your appreciation and patronage of this channel, my training style, and my kennel. Always remember, it’s a great day for a puppy-sized adventure!
  • Fact: Those adorable black Labs in the background will do NOTHING but be kind and love up on her.
  • Aw, thank you Stonnie! Please make a another video on Ruby! I’d love to see how she’s doing in a few weeks.

Such a nice job, Stonnie. Poor little thing. Glad she found you.

I would love to see the moments you spoke off where she wouldnt walk on a leash, couldnt be petted, and couldnt do the obstacle course. It is especially those moments where people struggle with
  • Building confidence in fearful/reactive dogs is so underrated. Another gem of a video from you Stonnie
  • My very tired poodles head has been shooting up and down every time the whistle blew. She couldn't resist that last call and jumped off the sofa and ran stright to Uncle Stonnie on the TV 😂 Lucky Ruby to have a family putting the effort into getting her the help she needs to have a great life.

Thanks to your working with me over 4 years ago, our Standard Poodle is a really great companion. When we got him, he was terrified of everything and everyone. Meeting a new person caused him to roll over on his back and pee everywhere. Your guidance on taking him on puppy adventures and a huge variety of situations brought us to our current happy state. And SO TRUE about the dog having confidence that you make the right choices, and wouldn’t ask him to do anything unsafe.

Ruby is so much like a younger version of my doodle. Oh how I wished I had your knowledge when she was younger!! She is a very well adapted dog now, but it was such a long, long journey and she is still a fear driven dog deep down. Please make another episode with Ruby in a few weeks. I would love to see her progress.
  • Another great video about a tricky problem. But I think anyone who is considering getting a German short-haired pointer should watch it too! let them know that if you want one, they are going to be up in your grill almost every second until they are trained to chill out.
  • Loved this session. Good to see a pup that is struggling and how well you handle it. Would love to see her progress.

We've watched you for years now, and think that this is one of your best videos ever. Really enjoyed it!!
  • Absolutely love your training methods. Your honesty and integrity shine through your dog training. I have studied you methods and love your content!! Thank you for sharing!

Excellent video! Instilling confidence in dogs is the #1 way to eliminate a lot of unwanted behaviours, keep up the awesome work! 😊

Thank you for helping me understand my fearful & aggressive Goldendoodle. Thanks for the tips!!!
  • I have an older scaredy dog-your suggestions are very helpful. She’s been with me 7 months, the first 3 weeks she would not let me touch her, would never take a treat, panicked at the sign of the leash. Happy to report, she now runs with me in my yard, plays with the cat and seems to trust me MUCH more. Still needs work but we are getting there. It’s hard not to placate when she’s fearful as she only weighs 6 lbs. but I just go about my day Thanks for all the videos!

I like the methodology - no bs, no crazy theories. You're very firm but caring w your dog(s).
  • @Sunny14136
The black labs on top of the table at the beginning are darling!
  • “Inverse relationship, more exercise, less anxiety” TRUE! I teach this to my human and canine clients alike. Great video Stonnie
