Whom ever told you the SAW is ONLY belt fed lied to you mate. I served 9yrs in the U.S. Army, M249s are designed to utilize M16/M4 magazines as a backup way to use them in the event a soldier doesn’t have time to properly load a belt-fed box mag. The belt-feed loading an unloading animations are awesome, but it should also accept all M16/M4 mags and the built-in bipod legs should unfold and be usable whilst prone unsupported or using any flat surface to perch on.

The map I am developing is based on Bosnia during the turn of the century 99' 00' when NATO still had a huge presence in the country. Weapons like the 249 and 240 will be vanilla to the map, obviously they would be extremely rare to find.

So much stuff Chris Torchia worked on in that old Trello from almost a decade ago that still isn't in. M249, PKM, RPG+LAW, M1014, Recurve Bow, Bike, Little Bird, Prop plane, etc. Wish we had those!

Crazy idea, hip fire +cntl button allows u to brace while you have stamia for some accuracy.

Finally someone working on animation, it was on the huge reason that i never play with modded weapons. Cannot see a M60 realoding like an AK....

We absolutely need all of these old weapons added back into the game, including all of the attachments aswell and even more attachments for weapons. Imo the devs really need to expand on the customization side of firearms, it can really help in long-term survival adventures just to give you another goal rather then just run around and kill people.

They should consider adding the DP-28 russian WWII MG. It has no option for mounting scopes, it fits the game context and mags would be a pain in the a$$ to carry (3x3). Hard recoil and rarity to balance it

To be fair, the military teaches people to fire in controlled bursts. Unless a MG is mounted, you don’t fire long bursts due to the recoil.

I feel like I wouldn't mind the saw if it was extremely rare. It would also be good as a suppressive weapon or for raids or base defense.

Some sort of rocket launcher, RPG-7 only found in the hardest of places to loot aswell as its ammo

I did the loading/unloading sounds for JD in the m249 part of the mod❤️ Super talented dude he is. Was really happy to contribute.

A saw without a bipod is just to dumb. At least there should be a frontgrip since the gun is surprisingly controllable standing up.

I think lmgs need replacable barrels, cause in real life they have to change the barrels all the time.

I was a SAW gunner when I was a younger man. The trick is 3-5 round bursts. You can see how much it creeps, but if you just keep it to small, rapid bursts, it's easier to keep on target. And it looks like they've mimicked that in this mod.

They should add a museum building, ww2 exhibit, kar98k, mp40, mg42 allied forces/german/soviet uniforms, ww2 helmets, thompson, ppsh, etc etc so much potential there

The P90 and the MP7 would be two good guns to add into the vanilla based game tbh.

You could definitely load one round at a time into the saw. Just like he did in the animation. Lift the feed tray and place a round in the chamber. Hope friction keeps it in because it’s an open bolt gun but if you pull the trigger it would shoot. Not sure if you might get issues at some point with pierced primers but it should work.
