hi mysticat! i am an artist & i thought this might help even though the video is already to complete. the background tree idea you were doing didn't work because you made the blocks for the trees darker, when what you need to do to make them appear further in the background is softly layer the sky color overtop of the original blocks! i don't know how interested you will be in this but i thought it was neat to talk about, since i can tell you're a little new to that bit :]

Probably could have used barrels in replacement for chests, just change the texture of it.
