This is a perfect example of how beautiful metal music can be.

3:22 is just beautiful. I love Gojira’s heavier songs too, but it’s nice to hear something like that in their discography.

The melodic bridge is insanely good, it takes the whole songs to a new level. I think the best metal has to offer comes from joining heaviness and melody. Rammstein does it, SOAD does it, Black Sabbath does it, Metallica does it, Iron Maiden does it and so does Gojira. Amazing song

I feel sorry for people who have never heard Gojira.

That opening verse and 1st go of the chorus kills me ever time. “the cure is somewhere in the silence but I’m crushed by the noise inside”. That line articulates so well the feeling of being HAUNTED by dark thoughts brought on by depression. Followed by the plea for help: “don’t lock the door on me”. So emotional. Joe & the band did a fantastic job with this record.

How is it possible for them to sound a thousand times better live?!?! Just saw them twice this month and I'm obsessed.
