I imagine Professor Oak looking at his assistants, scared to figure out who wrote “seductively” on Jynx’s dex entry
  • It all started in 1995 when a Game Freak guy said "hey, what if some of our entries are insane" in the rest is history.
  • I saw a meme about the lapras extinction thing, someone posted “As a kid, I continuously breed, hatched and released Lapras because I read in a dex entry that they were going extinct” and then it shows the Pokémon moon dex entry saying they were saved, and then someone put that clip from Jurassic park that said “You did it, you crazy son of a b*tch you did it”

21:10 a fisherman caught one, but it had an entire colony of friends and they latched on in a long chain trying to pull it back home
  • Fun fact: One dude, when he read the Lapras entry, bred A LOT of them, and I think the Pokemon company reflected it.
  • "Alakazam can never forget what it has learned." Alakazam forgot how to use confusion
  • @Awwaadii
Fun fact: In the Pokemon manga Arboks versions were shown and mentioned and Agatha had one that can switch its patterns to get stronger for example one pattern for speed boost and another pattern for Defense boost etc

"There is so little known about Dragonite. Perhaps we may never know its true nature." "...Should we ask the guy who owns a bunch of them?" "Nah."
  • "If you see one, 40 more live in the area." Good, more purple rat frens
  • 6:36 fun fact: this is not only canon, but vital to the plot of mystery dungeon
  • Poliwhirl did the whole "frog that can do the breaststroke and front crawl" thing back in 1995, 19 years before One Piece's Water 7 arc, where the sumo frog can do the breaststroke and the front crawl. One Piece was either inspired by Poliwhirl or else there's some kind of inside joke about frogs that can swim that I don't know about in Japan...
  • "ooh uh...kinda graphic Nidoking..did you REALLY have to smash, constrict AND break the bones? I feel like one of those wouldve been sufficient" love that line lol 😂
  • The more I watch these videos of Michael talking about Pokémon dex entries, the more I realise that these videos are basically the Pokémon equivalent of CinemaSins ‘Everything Wrong With’ videos, except it’s also showing interesting, funny & creepy moments!
  • I like how Alakazam "never forgets what it learns" despite the fact you can't learn more than four moves without forgetting one first.
  • ok but some vampire bats do end up drinking so much that they can't fly and actually have to crawl around, so Golbat's entry isn't too out there
  • 13:29 This happened in the anime. The shellder went back to what it was, and the Slowbro became a Slowpoke
