Hey Kevin, I just found your channel and it is extremely helpful. What time do your Wednesday live streams typically start? Also do you do live streams on any other days?

My doctor was able to switch me right to Brixadi as soon as it came out, I just got my 3rd shot of it the other day. In my opinion Brixadi is so much better since you don't get any lumps after the injection and the amount that's injected is way way less plus it doesn't sting or hurt nearly as much. And from my experience the Brixadi injection can be given pretty much anywhere you're comfortable with, so I get my injection on the back of my upper arm equivalent with where my bicep is but on the backside. I've been going monthly for the past year and I just told my doctor that i wanted to start extending my time in between shots. I'm currently getting the 128mg monthly which I will now be extending my time between shots one week every visit until I get to 2 months. Then I plan to keep my shot once every 2 months for 2-3 months then I plan to start going down to the 96mg shot. My goal is to taper slowly, VERY SLOWLY so when the time comes the symptoms of getting off Brixadi will be minimal. That's my biggest fear is that I do all of this and for some reason I get bad withdrawals. That's why I'm attempting to take the least amounts of risk possible by keeping it slow & steady.

In the US do you all have to pay for your treatment? Or is it through insurance etc? Fascinating to me really as we don't have to pay for our treatment in the UK unless you go private to a rehab etc
  • @SAMEntalhealth

  • @Rocko1990
Doesn't it have to be administered in the doctors office? How does the pharmacy have prices then?
  • @jimmy31mk2h8
Brixadi in Australia is $350 for 64mg monthly shot so I don’t know how you guys in the states are been charged 2k seems crazy!

Thank God I have insurance. If you have to and are able to, quit your job, move in with someone who can support you and get on Medicaid! I would suggest this only for people trying to get off subs. I’m supposed to start this weekly shot in a couple of days. I just want off suboxone. I’m ready but I’m nervous. I’m looking for success stories for this shot. I’m hoping it’s a smooth transition and I can be off of it in just a few shots. Dr Ken Star says we can just take 1 shot and not have withdrawals but he was talking about sublocade.
