It really was so fucked to be like "guys I had extreme body dysmorphia and that's why I abused steroids 😢 that's also why I started a business to sell supplements and a lifestyle brand that's unhealthy using my roided out body as an example to prey on men with body image issues :((((("

He really does deserve the name Liver King though. His liver is a king for surviving all of that.

Liver King may have self esteem issues, but the way he presents it in his apology is ridiculous. He did steroids for the people who harm themselves due to self esteem issues. He then told those people to buy his stuff so they could be big like him. He knowingly set an impossible standard and preyed upon vulnerable people to make a quick buck. This apology is just damage control for his reputation, he's an asshole.

I don’t really get how the liver king thinks he’s helping with the issue of low self esteem. One of the main things that cause stuff like that is seeing people online selling their lifestyle by lying to make it seem attainable. He’s making money off of the exploitation of people who he claims to sympathize with

Okay but thank you so much for addressing that, my ex was on steroid and god damn gorgeous and nothing was ever enough and the steroids, mental illnesses and body dysmorphia led him to suicide , no one ever talks about the worst thing that can happen

It makes sense that the gym trainer not only realized he was on steroids, but warned you without you asking- there’s a lot of misinformation about health due to beauty standards. I’m sure she gets people all the time trying to achieve unrealistic expectations like that, so she needs to tell them off the bat that they’re not going to get that physique without steroids.

The fact that Danny has every right to feel personally betrayed by the Liver King and could easily just be like "yeah he's a p.o.s." but instead chooses to throw in concern for his well-being is one of the many reasons I love Danny

His insecurities do not excuse any of his behavior. He cares so much for others with insecurities "like him" yet purposely preyed on their insecurities to make money, knowing full well what he was promising them was a lie.
