Today Architectural Digest brings you to Australia to visit Troye Sivan at his beautiful Melbourne home. Unpretentious yet expertly decorated, Troye collaborated with designer David Flack of local firm Flack Studio to bring the vision of his sunny, soulful home to life. An erstwhile brick factory and handball court, the property was transformed into a residence in 1970 by architect John Mockridge, preserving the essence of its Victorian-era origins. Today, it’s an eclectically decorated sanctuary - and a home for Troye’s artistic imagination.

this man is living on literal paradise for introverts. i wouldn't leave the house. ever.
  • @tedros6917
This is the only one of these houses that actually made me wish I was rich
  • @hermine3480
something i noticed about australian architecture is the intimate play between indoors and outdoors, maximizing the flow of air and light throughout a day! i truly adore it
  • I'm an architecture student and this house is a real home... one of the best houses featured on this channel... just wow
  • @justadragonryu
This is one of the first celebrity houses I’m actually jealous of.
  • @longsixth
as an introvert, this place is a paradise for me that i won't leave nor go outside forever
  • @rubywine9487
Troye Sivan has stunningly good taste. His eye for colours is incredible. What surprises me is that every single book in the house is about design, architecture, photography, the visual arts. You'd never guess the owner is a singer-songwriter. And now I'm homesick for Australian birds.
  • @bivodka3586
Wow. A celebrity that actually promotes a sustainable way of living and actually understands the value building adaptation and retrofitting. He's downsized to what he really needs. I'm really impressed by the materiality and the beautiful tadelakht and Venetian plaster. Also the ms detailing in this house is insane.
  • @gentlehillracer
the fact that he has lamps everywhere because he doesn’t like overhead lights... makes me feel seen
  • @ziircon2347
For anyone watching who has never been to melbourne this house EMBODIES the vibe of the city (or at least the wealthier artsy areas lol) If you like the house, you would really LOVE it and should definitely consider visiting it if you get the chance!!
  • I want a home just like this... quiet, peaceful and surrounded by nature sounds.
  • @raisedbynoodles
I feel like most of these house tours are of huge villas with entire theaters and waterfalls and the celebs are always like 'yeah, we rarely use this', or 'we rarely come here' for like 40% of the house which is just sad and wasteful, and here you see how much Troye invested in every detail and most things actually have a purpose and he actually uses them. It's refreshing.
  • As an Aussie, this vid really made me realise that no matter what socio-economic 'level' your house is at, the house seems to always have the outside centering it. Like, having the whole garden encircle the house, or whichever space overlooks it the most be full of windows and sliding doors. Every house I've ever lived in has been like that.
  • out of all the celebrity homes that AD has visited, I think Troye and robert downey jr's are my absolutely fave, like they are all so functional and artistic but so cozy and with many aspects considered, my fave is when the artist has their own bedroom as like an attic and just somewhere tucked away and it's like a safe space for them, as a hermit that's the DREAM
  • @haziey2170
He's one of those few celebrities who actually has a beautiful and useful house and not a house that's just a big flex. I loved the architecture and how historical it is...
  • @t.m.d2588
Can we appreciate the fact, that he’s so invested in this house. Like he genuinely knows about the designers and artists and is exited to show every little detail. So many celebrities don’t even know of the specialties they have in their houses
  • @leemoika7376
Troye's bedroom is so simple in design and small but magical. Damn 🔥
