Didn't we just land the top TE in the country last year 🤷🏽‍♂️
  • Helms and Mitchell will man that position in the future. After Bauer shows out this year, it’ll make the 26 te class easier to recruit. Not worried in the slightest about the te room

They'll be fine at TE. Got a great one this year & They'll get another one next year. Trust this ELITE coaching staff.
  • @Gutslinger
I kinda blame Lebby for not using TE's properly. But he also didn't have much to work with in that position last year. Hopefully Seth will actually utilize TE's properly.

Sucks we lost out on Robert’s as well but if we show out with our TEs this season we might be able to have a merry flip-mas

The kiddos will go where they want to go. Bring in a kid with some potential and coach him up. That’s what COACHES are for. All the kids are looking for now is the money. They don’t think about what kind of coaching they will get for the next level… where the real money is at. I’m not too worried about it.

When they continue to use a TE like a fullback, it shouldn’t be surprising when they can’t land top rated candidates. Just the facts.

So let's just look at this 2024 nfl draft for TE's. 11 drafted. round 1 bowers 118th in nation in top 250. round 2 Sinnott NR in nation in top 250. round 3 Reiman NR in nation in top 250. round 4 Sanders 14th in nation in top 250. round 4 Stover 96th in nation in top 250. round 4 Johsnon 107th in nation in top 250. So top 6 all recruited out of high school and played entire career at program. Bowers and Sanders only two who played 3 years. The rest 4 and 5. Now the bottom 5 all Transfer TE's........and NONE were ranked in the top 250 of their recruiting class. All spent 4/5 years at TE. round 4 All round 4 Wiley round 6 McLachlan round 7 Bell round 7 Culp It looks like it's great to recruit a top 250 TE, but tbh not necessary. 7 of the 11 were NOT top 250 TE's. Development seems to be the key along with NFL measurables. And if you do get one that can be developed. You don't need to bring in another every year as they will be production for 4/5 years for the program. Sharp seems to be the guy for the next two years. And then Mitchell was supposed to be our 4/5 year plan TE out of high school that we need to develop. If Helms can get healthy i think he can get us some depth. So Sharp has two years. Helms has 3 more years and Mitchell would have 4 more years. And we have the portal. We just need to get some TE's developing. As soon as we do and get some drafted it will help IMMENSELY.

CJ Nickson could be better than all the guys you named. Watch his tape he’s a beast at TE.
  • @Cleo_hOUston
We need to coach up the guys we got. How much will they be used anyway? If TE’s will be 50% of the game plan then we need more TE’s.
  • Man you have to love your optimism! That Roberts kid isn’t gonna come to OU!
  • @user-kq9go2uh3l
Not worried at all… if we don’t get them now we will get them from the portal on the back end… kids want the bag and the high draft pick… they will go elsewhere to get the bag, land in Norman to get that draft pick… Bv isn’t gonna spend a bag when it isn’t necessary and that’s known…
  • @bobbywiley4500
This is kinda old news, we going portal shopping for a TE
  • @jshada11
Probably not getting a top 10 TE...OU needs to pick it up on recruiting...might need a new TE coach.
  • What's the news on Dakotah Terrell 6'9 TE and basketball player. Plus all the other schools who negative recruit Oklahoma. Also pays bigger money shows you how kids don't research the facts to the lies that Texas, Oregon, Texas A&M, TCU among others tell kids about Oklahoma which has gone on since the Switzer era. I know Bob Stoops personally and he never offered players money nor negative recruit other schools. Saban well he did and paid players under the table at LSU and Alabama. In the NFL Miami Dolphins hired Saban from LSU and showed he wasn't NFL material. Les Miles took over LSU eom with Saban talent but was not a honest coach even after his brief stints vs OSU before hiring Mile Gundy. Oregon after Chip Kelly left to the NFL to avoid rules he broke was hired by Ohio state to be OC after running from UCLA HC job hasn't been the same since he was at Oregon. Flashback Mile Bellotti as refs cheated Oklahoma onside kick on 2006 which Allen Patrick recovered the ball still O national championships in football. Oregon, USC, Washington, and UCLA mow moving to Big 10 will they be able to compete still to be seen. Dillon Gabriel transferred to Oregon as Caleb Williams is gone from USC to Chicago Bears as I think Caleb should have stayed at Oklahoma but all in all money his dad Carl who only cared about money left to USC. Lincoln Riley who tanked OSU game in 2021 announced he was off to USC and taking Grinch and some of OUs staff with him as Bob came in kept recruiting class together to beat Oregon in the bowl game. Caleb who wouldn't be convinced by new Coach Venables from Clemson would he won a Heisman at Oklahoma wait and see as Rattler left for South Carolina to rejoin with Shane Beamer. Lebby was named OC now gone to head coach Mississippi state how will he do? Seth Littrell and Joe Jon Finley as Co Offensive coordinators have a task to make Jackson Arnold the next great QB with the additions of transfer Casey Thompson 2024 4 star Michael Hawkins, 3 star Brendan Zurbrugg and PWO QB/ATH Andy Bass coming off Acl injury not to mention 2025 Kevin Sperry coming in. Then 2026 QBs have been offered will they offer N. Peterson whom is Adrian Peterson's younger brother or will they go another route.. Lots of questions surround Oklahoma offense in 2024 and beyond as the Offensive Line is revamped once again via 2024 class and transfer portal additions. Anyway to be continued Boomer Sooner all.

I'm not worried. Oregon isn't gonna take 7 T.E. We will get 2.
