Indeed, it was the Scottish actor โ€˜Brian Coxโ€™. Who oddly enough tweeted last Sunday; โ€˜Just enjoyed a nice breakfast in Primrose Hill and I swore I spotted the famous YouTuber Hannah Ricketts!โ€™

I was born in Gloucester Avenue in 1943 and it was rather different back then. Primrose Hill itself was my 'playground'. Not many people know this but the top of the hill housed an anti-aircraft gun and brick air raid shelters during World War 2 which afforded small boys great entertainment. Much football was played on the areas outside the playground, which we called The Swings. I recall bunking into London Zoo through the fence down by the canal and during school holidays I used to go to see Guy the gorilla. As I grew up my local was The Chalk Farm Tavern and I held my wedding reception there more years ago than I care to remember. I wish I could afford to live there now.

This is why Americans love the English. People, places, style, culture, elocution etc Lovely indeed

This Primrose Hill tour was beyond charming and how fortunate it wasnโ€™t too crowded at the time. The architecture was pure perfection. Even though this was a shorter episode, it was most satisfying.

Taking a stroll in your delightful company is always something to be savoured, Hannah. Primrose Hill is a lovely bonus, and we always learn something new from you too. Your subscriber count is steadily growing, at the rate of about a thousand per week. So well deserved!

I think your history talks are MARVELOUS, Hannah; we get to bypass all the britannica faff and hear English history straight from someone who's lived there and has been immersed in it their whole life. I LOVE IT! Thank you, I can't wait to visit England - you've helped me so much build my bucket list!!

Primrose Hill really does look a beautiful part of London. Almost like stepping back in time to a more traditional English town.

Yay! Another lovely neighborhood in London. Iโ€™m glad theyโ€™re keeping the independent shops and vibe of the area. Thanks!

I'm sure that was Brian Cox (Logan Roy) Succession. Primrose Hill is definitely an area I would love to live - IF I could afford it.

I love watching your walking tours, and I would love to see a walking tour/shopping trip around Soho area, they have some nice little streets, independant shops and larger shops, I feel it has chill vibes and a great day out.
  • I love how magnificent British architecture can be. The preservation of these streets must be top priority. Thank you Miss Ricketts for making this video. Best regards from the south of Spain. Maximilian

I visited Primrose Hill on my trip to London last year. Definitely one of the most pleasant neighbourhoods in the city.
  • This is been a super nice series Hannah and Primrose Hill has been something really special. To be so close to the city yet seem like itโ€™s such a far away village. Itโ€™s just beautiful. Thank you for taking us with you.๐Ÿ˜Š

I hate having to correct you, Hannah, but Lemonia is not Italian but Greek Cypriot, it's a great restaurant. Two minutes from Regents Park Road is Eton College Road, across the railway bridge, and there are great flats there which would certainly be within your budget. Make your dream come true!
  • @66shreyas66
How lovely, Iโ€™m pretty sure many people are dreaming to live there with you.
  • @janetclaireSays
I LOVE the pastel houses! I would love to be Paddington Bear's neighbor! As for the bits of history, you put in the perfect amount of history mixed with modern culture to make your videos very interesting. ๐Ÿ˜Š (Your shorter hair looks great!)
