Bro, speed runners have no fun. You’ve 100%ed the game, you collected all the rocks. What’s left for you to do now, give me a million dollars?
-
About 4 minutes in I realize he just means every type of rock, not literally every rock on the map. Sigh of relief for his sanity.
-
- Step 1) 100% the game - Step 2) Collect 1 of every type of rock - Step 3) Actually collect every rock

1:53 "The pioneers used to ride these babies for miles"

15:38 whoever posted that spreadsheet is the real MVP here
-
We’re starving the Gorons with this one!!!
-
I saw a Games Radar article in my newsfeed about how someone collected every rock and I was like "That's insane! Who would do that?". Now it's all adding up

This is perhaps the most in-character challenge for link yet. I can't imagine a timeline in which link would ACTUALLY get rid of the sheikah slate, for example, but I COULD see TotK!Link, in the middle of his quest, go "Hang on. I should make a vehicle out of every rock I can find."
-
For the people wondering why the spherical boulders are considered to be natural. If a rock is in a stream or river, the rock gets gradually ground down to a point where it is round. At that point it can roll with the current and erode from another side, causing the rock to get rounder and repeat the process.

"hey check out my rock collection" "oh my god. is this why i cant find any around here?" "around here? no you wont find them anywhere."
-
i gotta say, i completely respect how smant/his editors are able to condense these long streams into much shorter videos. its super impressive because it doesn’t really feel like anything is left out and is also super digestible, not that i don’t still like long videos but still lol, very impressive :D

all this talk about avoiding "manmade" stone but he keeps the lava slabs despite the fact that he, a man, literally just made them
-
1:14 'uh oh, can I just do this?' this is already off to a rocky start
-
This is like one of those unskipable side quests your parents give you as a kid

It's videos like this that help remind my that Tears of the Kingdom is one of the most insane games Nintendo has released, maybe ever. Like, there's an entire map, with 3 different tiers of world to explore, endless quests to complete, and a story mode, which already makes it one of Nintendo's biggest games ever. And then, there's just straight up G-Mod attached to all of it, so you can basically do anything you want on top of all of that.
-
I want to see this on the offical speedrun boards as a new category.
-
The amount of patience needed to complete a challenge like this is actually insane 😭
-
Am I the only one who thought he was going to collect EVERY SINGLE ROCK in the map?
-
Random Dude: "What's left? collecting Rocks?!" Smant: "THAT IS A BRILLIANT IDEA!"
-
"Speedrunners have no fun" i wonder what kind of fun someone nicknamed fartchiken would have
