I was there and didn’t even notice haha. I would imagine the majority of their mistake go unnoticed. The live energy and sound just overtakes everything else🤘

Moments like this are what make live gigs special, I can't stand bands who use backing tracks or don't even perform at all!

That didn't look like he was angry. He had an issue, of which we know nothing about, and was relaying that to his tech. That's what he is supposed to do. It may have had nothing to do with the forgotten solo.

He was going so well. This playing is very clean compared to himself before. He is in good shape. He just forgot. And when he realises, it confuses him a little. Haha! This is kind of adorable. After all he has been on the road with the very best band for a minute. It eventually happens.

In the age where old bands are using play back imperfections are invited. I’d rather see my favorite musician have human moments than see them mime to a prerecorded track just so the performance is “perfect”.

They are still kicking ass at 60...and with no backing tracks like Motley or Kiss.....nuff said.

In ears...and it's a NIGHTMARE in that stadium to have the in-ear monitors go out and try to hear yourself let alone a band with the Slapback

Also they are currently doing 4 hours of songs atm so even if it wasn’t broken, it wouldn’t be surprising if he forgot

Everyone gets distracted at strange times. I've forgotten things I've been professionally practicing for ten years when people've asked me. Kirk is a legend and has more than earned his respect \m/

The good news is that it was a post-Black album song so no one has a clue how it goes anyway.

It is easy to get lost if you can’t hear the band. I use to play on a King Diamond / Mercyful Fate band and we messed up the Thirteen Invitations by this same reason.

Lots and lots of material to keep up with.. live for the imperfections that show humanity 🤘🏾
