When I was pregnant, my sons father came rushing into the house , and slightly red eyed and told me that I had to hear this song. We listen, and we're both crying, thinking about the boy I was about to have. It was such a beautiful moment. Cut to my son 15 now , the one I was pregnant with, Devin, runs in , says to me , mom, you have to hear this song . He proceeds to play me this very song, the same one that his father rushed in to play for me 15 years prior. We listened to it, and both teared up, and I told him how his father did the same to me when I was pregnant with him. A lovely full circle of life. Cut to my son 2 days after turning 16, while I'm getting ready for his birthday party. ........he drowns. I love this song it always reminds me how ,loving, sensitive, and what a beautiful soul he was and if he had lived long enough to give me grandchildren, he would have been a really great father too. my mom first played this song for me when I was around 6 or 7. I was sitting in the backseat of the car and we were driving around, and she played it and we shared a special moment right there. Now, 9 years later, I get super nostalgic. I never had a father, so she is like a father and a mother figure to me at the same time. It makes me happy and I cry every time I hear it.

My favorite English teacher in hs used to bring his son into work all the time and us girls fawned over this adorable little boy. Well at the end of the year we had a video project that was based off the thing we loved most in the world. Well our teacher made one as an example and the music was this song to a video and picture montage of him and his son. Not a dry eye in the classroom.

I always think of my dad when I listen to this. He always called me his little buckaroo. Still got a picture from when I was little of us wearing matching Batman shirts. I always looked up to him, and wanted to be just like him. He was my hero. He’s been gone for 7 months now, but it still hurts as if it was just yesterday. I miss him so much, man.

My ten year old loves this song. And he actually got to meet and take a picture with Rodney Atkins this past Father's Day weekend in Florida.
