Why do people LOVE Minecraft? There's more to it than you think.

Well, it’s time to answer that question the best way I know how: by making a MEGA Minecraft build. Obviously.

This is (hopefully) the start of an ongoing series on this channel.

Sorry that it took so long for this one to come out, I taught myself the basics of animating for this video, and it kinda overtook my life for a couple weeks. I’m building towards a video every month, and I appreciate everybody’s patience.

What an unbelieveable video. Seriously, your ability to tie Minecraft builds into real life and a have moral is just astonishing! P.S. Is there somewhere I can read the book sounds genuinly interesting.
  • Dude, could you make a part 2? This was genuinely one of the best videos I've seen in forever. Everything about it was great!! I hope your channel gets big so you can have the funds to continue to do this! Inspirational

We love Minecraft because of youtubers like shovel!
  • I am dumbfounded by the level of imagination and the intricacy of the story line... and builds. You've done it again, Shovel!

If you ever have the time for it, please consider finishing that book. It truly sounds amazing and I’d love to read it. If not you could maybe do some kind of a in depth lore video when you finish the whole world. Something along the lines of the part you fast forwarded haha. But no matter what, just keep on doing what you love my man. It is truly heartwarming and simultaneously mesmerizing to see the passion you have for what you’re doing right now.

Do “Lore Nerds” exist? If so, then I might be one… I love this world building and creativity!

If you do end up making this into a series it could be amazing marketing for the book if you do ever want to publish! I know I'd love to read it.

You have really found your stride recently. Keep it up, the quality of these videos are insane!

One of my areas of particular interest in ancient history and the transition into the early middle ages. Minecraft has been a tool to explore all these interests and scenarios I can envision related that would otherwise never been seen otherwise. Being able to explore these vast and cavernous ruins with humble dwellings nestled within is such an interesting prospect unique to Minecraft for its accessibility.

the editing in this video is TOP NOTCH! i really loved the window analogy as well, it was so well put :) also learning to animate as well? damn dude, keep it up! theres obviously still room for improvement with some of the movements being too linear or the effects still having some outline etc, but like.. for litteraly just starting it or having little experience? this is INSANE! i can't wait to see how your content evolves from here, considering it's already one of the highest quality channels I know. really enjoyed this video!

  • Your narration skills are on fire man 🔥🔥🔥 I love this game and spend so much time playing it and yet you do such a phenomenal job of reminding me exactly why I fell in love in the first place. I can't wait to see what you've got lined up next ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

I like minecraft because the music, the feeling, the nostalgia. Whenever its a sunny day outside and I feel the sun on my skin. I just remember the good old days of minecraft and everytime that happends I have an URGE to play the game.

Shovel, this was just EPIC! The story telling, the journey and well the builds as well! I have been playing Survival for so long, and its great, but its the freedom that comes with Creative that brings the game to a whole different light! Looking forward to hearing the rest of your story.
  • What an amazing journey you're going to make! Minecraft speaks to so many people on so many levels. The survivors, the hardcore players, the builders and creators. I look forward to seeing your progress very much.

Once you eventually turn your whole fantasy world into one complete mega Minecraft world, you should find a way to mod in your light-based magic system into the game as well. It sounds super interesting, and I’d love to experience it firsthand.

This is how I felt when I discovered coding in Minecraft for the first time. It opened up a whole new world for me to explore inside a game I thought I knew so well and allowed me to turn my creativity into something tangible.
  • @zammwow_
Only got recommend this video recently, but you've summed up what Minecraft is in the most perfect way possible! Amazing build and looking forward to your book whenever it gets ready for publishing, the story sounds incredibly amazing!

You're one of the most unique Minecrafters I've seen. Most videos now are just "100 days" or lifesteal smp type videos. You on the other hand are able to tell stories in a way I've never seen
